Guys, my AP60 Pro looses his battery charge when being switched off - is this a firmware issue or should I be concerned and maybe return it? I bought directly from hidizs.....

Which FW version are you using?

Downgraded to 1.01beta - 1.02 beta drained the battery because of the backlight not switching off. But with 1.01beta I seem to loose the battery after I switched the AP60 OFF - which is a bit weird....

Just checking...are you sure it’s all the way off and not in sleep mode? Long press the power button, Hidizs logo comes on, then goes completely black?
Firmware 1.02 keeps the screen on in sleep mode and therefore drains the battery. Just checking.

been listening to my AP60 pro(black) with my nightowls
definitely better sounding than my original AP60 (gold)
I was able to use the AP60 leather case
doesn't sound as good as the nuansa P1 or R3 in balanced mode but close to the R3 and M0
need to run some a/b tests
need to do more research on its capabilities

I think you were right - must have switched it off wrongly. I had no issues now after a day when making sure to "properly" switch off.

Cheers and thanks!

Hi, I've gotten an AP60 myself after using an iPod for forever and wanting something with more memory. I've had no problem with basic usage, but there are a couple things I wanted to know more about but can't find much info.
  • When you make a playlist within the AP60 by selecting a song and it appears in the m3ulist, where is that file in the file architecture when you connect the AP60 to a computer? It doesn't appear to be immediately visible.
  • I worked out how to import the library of the AP60 into Foobar and make a playlist; and I've saved that playlist to the AP60. It recognises it, and it shows up in the Browse Folders menu, but not in the m3ulist.
To only be able to make a playlist when connected to a computer or in the AP60 (one track at a time, mind you) is a bit annoying. Something that I can adjust to with continued use but if anyone has advice about it, that would be awesome!

Guys!

I am still enjoying the AP60 Pro quite a lot. Any news about a stable FW release? Don't like to run beta software forever....

Many thanks!

I just had mine and I am really happy with it. Compared with the first plastic AP60 there have been big sound improvement and the battery life keeps on being really great (from saturday with a few Daily half- hours of playing and it keeps the full charge still today). I own an AK70, a Shozy Alien Gold, a Xduoo Nano but this little Hidizs stands any compare (but with the shiny AK UI and screen, clearly).
