I tried other albums and had no issues. The downloaded problematic album had not the correct sequence of tracks (I own the original LP) so I corrected that in the file manager. When I played it via Hiby the sequence apparently was still the same as after the d/l. So Hiby didn't see my correction I guess and I had to change it again in the Hiby player. Funny

I tried it but when I choose Sequential Play the shuffled list stays. It's maddening. I found out that I can move the tracks in the list to the correct order by clicking and moving them up or down. A bit clumsy though as I have to look up the correct order first on the album I have or on Disc Cogs, there should be an easier way. I'd like to just make all albums play in the correct order. I hate shuffled albums. Thanks a lot.
That's odd, but how about if you start a new list? Like tapping on any track on an album, after sequential play is selected, which should generate a new list, in order?

No problem. Hiby is my backup. My main player is Neutron. It works again flawlessly. Thanks!

Actually Hiby is now my main player as Neutron has problems with the correct playlists of my records. It seems that shuffle play is always on but it is switched off because I never use it. Developer has no idea how this can happen.

oh, you need to correct the sequence using an id3 tagger. Otherwise even if you correct the filenames, the metadata will still instruct the app to play in the original order.

The original order is correct. Same as on my original record/LP. So how comes the metadata are different?

"The original order is correct", that is not my understanding from your post.

Simple. The player uses a different sequence than the original one that is on my record. So if it plays a different sequence the metadata must be wrong because you tell me it uses the metadata.

Perhaps if you could explain what you mean by the bolded then. And, it now sounds like you have the same problem with Neutron, so...

Yea, I'm telling you that the metadata is probably wrong and you need to fix the id3 tag track numbers instead of just file names.

Neutron has the problem. Hiby is OK now. That's why I told that Hiby is my main player now.

How can I adjust Hiby so that it stops after playing an album. Now it automatically plays the next album in the folder. Thanks

thanks for your efforts, Joe, i do appreciate it. please check the other screenshots i made with the following apps: sony tv remote i use regularly, and 3 random apps (ak connect, dlna player, hi-fi cast) capable of dlna streaming i just installed for the sake of these screenshots. all seem to sort tracks by track number without any issues. i guess my minidlna server should send the track numbers without the need of downloading the tracks themselves after all...

S70909-16441751.jpg S70909-16463784.jpg S70909-16472467.jpg S70909-16475146.jpg
6 years have passed and nothing changed: Hiby is still the only app that's unable to sort the tracks within a folder by their track number. I still have the very same folder on my NAS, and Hiby still sorts tracks by their title. Same goes for every folder btw. And every other software, including bubbleupnp/bubbleds, mconnect, vlc, hificast, mediamonkey (etc) are able to sort the tracks by their track number. I could do the same screenshots once again and Hiby would still be the odd one out. It might be some incompatibility with minidlna, it still wouldn't explain why every single app besides Hiby can act like expected.

Sound quality is still nice, but the fact that 6 years wasn't enough to fix a trivial issue like that is pure disappointment. I've had a Hiby R3, liked the form factor, the features and the sound, sold it because of the software experience. No network sources are available with Hiby Link, huh? Just an other interesting feature in Hibyland. Anyway... See you in 6 years I guess. :slight_frown:
