Thank you for the troubleshooting and being so open about the results, Joe.
Well, I have created these customized presets for it and would love for people to listen and comment, but they would need to have actually heard them to do that 😅. Right now, that means selecting one of these filters while music is playing and then keep playing nonstop* (haha, that doesn't sound so bad)

*It seems that a format or sample rate change is also enough to bump it back

Let the listening commence. (I renamed a bit and only kept some of the stock filters)

Forgot to ask, Joe: can you share how the .flt files are created/edited?

you can save a single channel 256 sample file in Audacity as Export Audio->Save as type: Other uncompressed files: Header--RAW, Encoding--Signed 32-bit PCM

Note however that the current version of Audacity has a bug where for this format, a full scale positive sample would wrap around into full negative (not that you should be putting any such samples in your filter: even a single such point is enough to make the system clip badly.)

In this post, a volume-matched version of the current filterset
1. Volume reduced to avoid clipping
2. Volume reduced to the _same level_ for easy A-Bing (this will be quite a-ways lower than required for just avoidig clipping, for some filters)
3. --which is different from the volume of the default filter (not actually on the list of user filters, not even as the one called "default") that the bug would snap back to (so if you go in to change filter version, or even just click on the same filter version again, and hear an obvious change in volume, you will know that the bug had happened at some point. As far as I know the bug doesn't confuse between versions of custom filters.

@Joe Bloggs thank you for the filter option. I was wondering, is it possible to implement the Bezier 1 or 2 filter on RS6?
As long as one can define what one is after, any filter within a limit of 256 taps can be implemented. I'm just not sure what "Bezier 1" and "Bezier 2" stand for.

Bought mine yesterday and have been listening to it intensively. Curious to hear how the sound would change during burn-in.

Can confirm that Tidal app sound like total crap, while listening through Tidal connect using Hiby app is much better and UAPP being superior to both of them.
Why is it so?

Can we have someone from Hiby contact Tidal guys to resolve the issue?
I want to be able to listen to Tidal downloaded tracks offline in good quality.

Darwin 1 is also superior for DSD playback.

In my opinion RS6 is better than both AMP11/12 DX300 and A&K SE180 SEM1/2 on current 1.30 firmware.

It does, but I don't like what I'm hearing, I like to assume my cable is faulty.

What do you mean you don't like what you are hearing? Connected to what and relative to what?

@twister6 please could I ask you for your view on RU6 vs RS6 brief comparison - sound quality perspective? I have the RU6 which I enjoy for its r2r sensibilities - I wonder how much more I will gain sound quality wise if I try the RS6? Putting aside the fact that they both have different feature sets, they're both portable r2r solutions (one of which is much cheaper but I can use it as a baseline for comparison).

The following words are usually music for my ears: warm,.smooth, dynamic, wide, non fatiguing, organic, vinyl, clean, non digital, grain free etc etc - does the RS6 give more of this over the RU6?
