@arijitroy2 the V2 has landed! Gosh, fell in love straightaway with the sound of this combo. It’s still hard to believe that the BX-2+ can flesh out 5.9W @32 ohm (around 4.5W @42 ohm for V2). Standalone R8 is no slouch either, it looses out on the soundstage and dynamics but not by much. Please note that you have to find the right position and angle for the V2 pad to get the right bass amount. I myself rotated the pads 90 degrees from its original position to get more bass quantity and it’s just sublime. Overall tonality is very similar to i4 + cipher + R8 combo, I guess because they’re both planars. Can‘t wait to try this on a full desktop setup, using the Burson stack and of course the R8 as a USB source :relaxed:

Ah man thanks for this impression!! Lucky dude! How's the soundstage of the V2 on this combo? Im basically looking for a headphone with big enough soundstage and little thick bass and mids! That's why V2, D8000 are on the radar, but I love the lightweight design of Diana!!

Since this is my first full size headphone, I don’t have any reference to other headphones’ soundstage. In general, I think it’s not a super wide and holographic soundstage, more on the intimate studio type of stage, but still pretty large. It’s not as holographic as my i4, V2’s midrange & vocals are definitely more forward. They have the right amount of thickness and utterly seductive

Thanks! Yeah still got the itch to get a solid closed back some time later this year (perhaps Verite Closed or the yet to be released Kennerton Rognir or even the Diana Closed). Long term plan includes R2R DAC and a tube amp  we’ll see how it goes

Do you hear a difference? Because i installed it few months back and got the D9200 EQ from that github project didn't do anything audible, was using Tidal/UAPP/Spotify

After Qobuz, I started the Hiby app and it wouldn't play, so rebooted and it is again not working. :frowning2: I am pretty sure it did work but I need to find out the exact procedure I followed.

For the very rare occasions I need to play with EQ, system-wide I use MSEB, in-app I use UAPP PEQ. Tried Wavelet once, found it very limited, very confusing and generally unstable.

Yeah, it looks unstable. I couldn't find a deterministic way to make sure that it works. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.
