I smashed my R6 Pro screen today. Anywhere I can source a replacement?

Anybody have a serial/model number for the screen?

Hi all,

I have a Hiby Pro 6 SS which used to work perfectly until recently. When I want to use the DAP, the OS is fully operational, but no sound is coming out of any of the 3 outputs. If I raise the voulme to the max, I can actually hear some very distant and distorded sound, but that's it. Sometimes a reboot would get things back to normal, sometimes a few minutes of charging ... but it is really annoying, it happends one time out of two.

Has any of you already had this problem? Any ideas to fix it?

If reset doesn't help, it seems that Amp has a problem, I had the same issue, but on another device.

Mmh I see ... so not fixable, right?

I have contacted Hiby, all they offer is a return for repair, not really helpful.

... a return for repair is the best thing for a manufacturer to offer when there is a hardware fault... ?

What earphones and what connections were you using with the unit before this happened?

I just wanted to chime in and give my appreciation for what a great product this is.

It's been so good to me, that I barely think about upgrading.

So I give up. I was probably one of the first owners in the US of the R6 Pro, but the damn thing just keeps going down hill. There's so much crackling and popping and interference noise it's ridiculous. The battery is essentially worthless now, I sometimes can't even get consistent power unless I'm connected to a quick charge charger (it'll just shut off).

I switched to my R5, and after 3 days of use the thing is now overheating badly on the bottom left side and getting all messed up and shutting down. No more Hiby hardware for me....

I've had this happen many times. Hard reset always seems to fix it. Sometimes it'll literally happen in the middle of a track.... Sometimes I have to hard reset twice.....

Is anyone else getting a prompt to upgrade Hiby Music app and download fails? I reset my R6 Pro and can replicate this over and over. I tried without the micro SD card and still no upgrade proceeds.

All you have to do is take out the SD card, and then shut off and restart the device. It will then update without the card installed. After it updates, just put the card back in.

I did exactly this to include a full reset. I still get prompted to upgrade and it fails.

Also, I am talking about an update to the app, not firmware.

This will sound crazy but try creating a hotspot from your phone and running the update. For some reason I couldn’t run it from my home wifi. Something kooky with my router settings I guess

Thank you sir! I thought I bought this way longer than 2 and a half years ago.

Will there be updates though? I think it's getting up there in age with Android 8 with no security updates since 2017. This thing drives my Arya and Aeolus almost as good as $2,000 in DAC and Amp.

so here’s a weird one. My R6 Pro (bought about 2 years ago) works perfectly plugged in to power. However if I unplug it, it runs for a few minutes and when the battery hits about 85% it shuts down. If I plug it in then it charges back up to 100% really quickly.

It’s a great DAP aside from that. @Joe Bloggs any thoughts? I’m updated to the latest firmware
