So I’m gonna have a pair of earbuds ,a ie match and a 2.5 to 4.4 adapter to get rid of MOST but not all of the hiss and emi ? For 800 bucks ? No thanks .

Which 'earbuds' are you using?

Which FiiO? it is not the impedance that is critical it is the SPL rating. But yes SE846 is challenging for a lot of analog DAP designs because they are so sensitive at 114 dB SPL/mW. However, the AAW/Shozy Pola at 12 ohm and 101dB has a very black background on the R6 Pro.

Agreed. SPL is more important here. My JVC FD01 is 16 ohm with 103 db/mw sensitivity. It has a dead black background.

FH5 is pretty sensitive at 112 db/mw. But 16 ohm is not a super low impedance.

Just tested the FH5 for you there now out of the 4.4mm on the R6 Pro - no annoying hiss :) Sounds great actually. The only time you realize any noise floor exists is when the mute relay kicks in.

You can get away with the FH5, it is not quite as black as the POLA but observable hiss is negligible

TIDAL fans, do NOT update to the latest version of the app (2.11.5, as it breaks the bit perfect beta mod from Hiby. Seems like Hiby will have to keep updating their software, every time Tidal updates their app. Everything is back to playing at 44.1K. Shouldn't DTA take care of this natively? Guess using USB Audio Player Pro is the better option if you DONT need offline access.

Anyone running Qobuz? If so, can you detail if you can playback bitperfect through the R6Pro?

Very complete review. That's a pretty high rating, considering the noise/emi issues and increased noise floor (by specs and actual ear testing). Screen, speed, power, MSEB, and other positives are spot on. Good job!

Also has anyone figured out how to set the bitrate to 384k in ths Hiby app, my app maxes at 192k?
Crap, I read this too late and updated. Is there a Hiby fix coming to get back the bit perfect output?

just received the Hiby R6 Pro - the clear, airy, micro detailled and wide sound stage with the DMGs and the tight and dynamic sound with the balanced TFZs is really impressive, although the unit is not burned in yet.
... apart from the fact that the device is first-class crafted

Can you guys get into Android System Recovery with R6Pro, the usual Vol+ & Power button together? Every time I do it, end up with a "dead" Android and "no command" message.
