I think, (don't quote me on this) that the domestic version are not needed to have FCC or CE certifications, and that might be why they where available earlier.
Cant buy it in Hong Kong.

Yep, but the international release was dependent of this. There are some rumorses that HiBY is already working on the first batches of R6Pro for international sales to begin.

I originally thought it was dependent on the Oreo release. But FCC and CE certification makes more sense.

This bit of news is good, and proves they take it somewhat serious. I am hoping it gets released soon.

I refresh the R6, Pro page and email once an hour so I don't miss it :)

Just a heads up. Visit the HiBy Facebook page, they just started a giveaway of a R6 Pro.

Anyway: the question to R6 owners:

Are MSEB and EQ functions are working with 24bit|192kHz tracks? Owning some other DAPs with HibyOS I've noticed that those functions are quietly disabled. Perhaps due to higher CPU load. R6 and R6Pro have more capable CPUs and it is interesting whether both functions are enabled despite the SQ? Thanx

I’ve sold my R6 but my strong recollection is using MSEB with DSD tracks no problem.

The CPU is beyond anything in terms of competition and so is the 3GB RAM.

MSEB is excellent.

To be honest the question I would be asking Hiby is whether the wifi function is being improved. While I never had any issues, many still do.

I think that most of the DAPs in steel of aluminum case are prone to weak signal reception... Smartphones do offer plastic inserts to overcome this. With DAPs it is a matter of sitting closer to router :)

Are you sure that 24|192 had EQ and MSEB active? R3 doesn't....

IryxBRO and Joe Bloggs,

It appears that both of you have some more direct interactions with Hiby (well - I am assuming this for Joe since he use to be such an outstanding representative for them even though he no longer works for Hiby...) - I still have not seen an answer to my question about whether the Dual DAC's are used for all digital to analog operations upstream of the amp sections such that all output types benefit from this hardware. I am hoping the system/block diagram posted is in error which suggests only the balanced output benefits from both DAC's.

I only ask because all of my IEM's are single ended and I would rather not spend money on hardware which I will not benefit from.

Any help with this would be much appreciated (I am sure others might be curious as well).

Cheers,
Tim

Well 2.8 DSD did. Surely that would take more processing power than 24/192?
