@Joe Bloggs I have a question about Youtube. I understand that the R6 III is primarily an audio device, but sometimes I want to watch a concert or a live perform on Youtube without having to switch to my iPhone. The problem I am facing is that the audio and video on Youtube are out of sync, i.e. there is a delay between the lip movement and the sound. Is there a setting or anything that I can do to resolve this issue? I've tried different video qualities in Youtube itself, and played around with the digital filters to no avail.
Hi Bobby,

It is currently the case, that audio would be delayed relative to video. We are working on a fix for this. Hopefully this will be done without sacrificing audio quality. For example, the antialiasing filter introduces some delay, but currently there are other sources of delay that it should be possible to eliminate without affecting quality.

Best regards,
Joe

May be to use Chrome with "YouTube Audio/Video Sync" plugin?

My R6III arrived last week. Generally I'm happy with it, however, every time I power it up, it's lost time.
It shows as 04:00am Jan 2023. If it is on set time automatically it eventually corrects, but this is no good in the car as there is no internet connection.
Without the time correct Amazon Music refuses to play. So, I have to manually set the time when I power it on.
Anyone experiencing this or have a solution?

@photosynth Funny you mention this. I just noticed the exact same thing over the weekend. It does correct itself (when Wi-Fi is on) but without it, (which is why I have never noticed before), I see the same thing.. well it defaults to 04:14am 5th Jan 2023 on mine
HI @Joe Bloggs
The "lost time" problem is present with my device and the last firmware (v1.30). I don't think that I've had it before..
Can you pass the information on to the development teams?
Thanks

Dear fellow R6 III users,
My device has finally arrived.
I am using it as a backup for my Fiio M15S and in general I like it. I even like the sound I get from it on my Denon 9200 which feels so close to a good CD player to my ears. Using UAPP, Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music apps.
I have 3 questions:
1. Is there a way to get rid of those yellow circles animation when adjusting the volume?
2. Is there a way to change brightness of the LED?
3. I am trying to find a difference between class A and AB, and to my ears I don't hear even a slight difference on my Denon 9200 and Fiio FD5 headphones (both running balanced) - what I am doing wrong?
Firmware is 1.21.
Thanks.

I guess AB is sufficiently great for all not having golden ears (that is for all). Those hearing "big difference" just promote the selling point (but I don't mean R6 III is someway bad - it has got plenty of other great features) . All such "advanced" reviewers avoid independent ABX testing.

I think most people in this thread are in agreement with you on this. Class A doesn't appear to be worth the drain on the battery.

I agree. I do hear a difference, but I run it on A/B as there is no point draining the battery and the difference is minor.

Hello.

Perhaps someone can share full v1.30 firmware zip?

I am on 1.21 and few days ago I tried OTA, which was available, but got "Update failed", and now it says that I am already on latest version.
I have no idea how to get firmware as zip file. But I fixed "Update failed" problem by factory reset. After that it let me update again.

I no longer have the Hiby R6 III to check the latest FW, but the issue with lost time (I and others) reported, was definitely corrected and working in Firmware V1.11.

It seemed to me that you didn't have this problem any more.
I don't think I've had it before, but no luck this time (for me?) with the last firmware
If I start my Dap without a network, the time is 3:40.
Even if I disable time synchronisation in the settings, when I restart I lose the time.

Originally it was an issue, but with the V1.11 FW update, that issue was resolved. From this, I can only conclude that the code branch with the “lost time” fix has been missed in this latest release (v1.30?). It’s not uncommon, but frustrating, nonetheless.

Could you please clarify a little? Do you mean the device has detected 1.30 but during update an error has occur, and after reset again the device has detected 1.30, and update was Ok?
The thing is my device doesn't detect 1.30 via OTA (just has updated to 1.21 after first power on).
