I got them after somebody recommended them here six years ago.  They are still going strong.  I will still use them for watching TV at night, but now I'm looking for something more musical. I listen to all kinds of music (Electronic, Metal, Classical, Jazz, Latin, etc) so I need an all-around headphone. I also like the form factor of my current HD 280 (over the ear and isolating) because I have a big head and big ears (not Dumbo sized though LOL). So if you can recommend anything under $150 that meet my criteria, I'll be grateful.
 
PS Open vs Closed it's not that important since I won't be wearing them in quiet places.

I found the Audio Technika M50's a good upgrade from the HD280's. They are similar in style but the m50's sound much better. They dont isolate as well, but are more comfortable.
