I have narrowed it down to 3...keep in mind my price range is around $120 and these will be used for trips and for my laptop and ipod/phone.  I also have a fairly small head if that is something to consider when choosing headphone.

Bass is fairly important.  I actually am one of those people who listen to everything!  Except country.  But i mostly listen to alt. rock, a lil rap, reggae, ska...exc.

It seems like the M50's could suit you, they are good performers for different kinds of music.
