Hello All,
Please recommend a pair of phones to monitor guitar straight from a guitar amp. I need full range, flat response as I want the sound to be accurate as to what is coming out of the amp. I currently have a pair of Grado SR 80i and they sound great. However, I think I would enjoy a pair of over the ear, closed back phones better as I would not hear the picking noise from the guitar or any external sounds.  My budget is no more than $150 USD. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

About the best cans you can get.
 
I play a lot of guitar and I use my MDR-V6, but I'd love the 6400, or the 8400 for that matter because the amount of detail can tell you if you missed that hammer on and off or any other problem that you're playing. Also the 1/4 in cable is nice since you can replace the cable with a stage cable anytime.
