Somewhere in the middle....

(XLR output on Low Gain, 70-75/99 for most modern rock / pop / metal. Still burning in but sounding better than yesterday... For reference this is a few clicks higher volume than HD800s on single ended output.)
what cable are you using with the Hedd.

That is the Eletech Inferno; these days I use a copper litz cable with an inner silver core from Gladiator Cables just to add some more treble energy. The Eletech is beefy sounding but a little more treble on the HEDD is what I prefer. The inferno works well with LCD-X, and I imagine Meze Elite / LCD-5 would be great pairings too.

So my question is, how to categories the Hedd in terms of sound to my Verite Open (or Quad), for example? :)

I'm quite interested hearing the AMT bc of the JET5 Tweeter of my ELAC speakers. :hugging:
I never had that Adam-Audio tweeter vibe, but then again a lot going on a show floor.
Reminded me of a room sound from TDL speakers.

The HEDDphone One is one of my favourite headphone with the DCA Stealth.. Probably the only headphone on the market able to offer amazing such deep low kicks in the throat !!!
I also own one of the lightest headphone with the Grado GS3000e but far less impressive sound quality .. but instead of many here, till now, I didn't have any real issue with the weight and the comfort of the HEDD.. I just feel annoying the reposition, every time I use it, the headband and also reset the good angle of each cans..
The HEDDphone one's build quality is basically not really good and the plastics even rather weak..

So, that's interesting to see if the HEDDphone Two will be able to solve those two issues and keep the sound quality of the One, while keeping the same price tag.

IMHO the HEDD was truly the headphone that got closest by far to mixing the best qualities of planners and eletrostats and indeed sounds like a 50/50 mix in one package. Whatevr AMT technology is- the results to my ears is a hybrid of electrostat and planner. Just stunning results...

Yeah I'd agree with this assessment.

I was listening to some Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar last night, first with the Auteur OG because that's usually my go-to for classic rock, but just for fun I switched and listened to the same songs on the HEDD1, and quite honestly I found it more enjoyable. More treble energy and width and separation.

Hehe.
This was way before I got any opinion on good music. ^^
Was a kid under the age of 10.
But it was quite interesting to read about TDL.

Thank you. :)

Are the cups of the H2 similar to H1 in width and depth?
From the looks, they seem a little bit smaller overall.

Will keep an eye on both, nonetheless. :)
