Very impressive sounding headphones Heddphone 2 even with the basic RME-Adi2 Dac FS. The amount of detail retrieval was big and a very wide soundstage. Probably the thing that stood out for me was the incredible instrument separation and the slam of the deep bass.
CanJam London didn't had the perfect environment condition to hear them properly but everyone that tried them before and after me were impressed.

Basic size comparison here.....also mentions a 5 year warranty...

Looks great. Lighter, smaller.

Hope the sound is $1999 worth.

Does Heddphone use mini XLR connectors with the standard pin configuration (same as Audeze, ZMF, Meze; etc)? I was never interested in the first version because of its weight but I’m very interested in the lighter and more comfortable Two.

The HEDDphone Two uses 3.5mm plugs instead of mini-XLR.

The HEDDphone1 XLR wiring is not standard. Using third party cables reverses the polarity. Also there is a microchip embedded in the cable.
Is this still the case with the HEDDphone2 cable with 3.5mm plugs?
FYI

According to headphones.com, the contents include:

1. Travel case to fit HEDDphone TWO
2. A spare set of ear pads
3. 2.2m headphone cable with a 6.35mm termination
4. 2.2m balanced cable with a 4.4mm termination
5. 3-pin audio adapter – 6.35mm to 3.5mm
6. 4-pin audio adapter – balanced 4.4mm to XLR

It's just a little PCB for routing the signals, not a microchip. Third party cables will work with the reversed polarity. It makes little difference to the way the AMT drivers work.

I don't know how the cables that come with the HEDDphone Two are constructed. It was only just announced a little bit ago, so no one's dissected them. It's been said however that standard 3.5mm cables will work with it though.
