That's a headphone from the Sony MDR XB line. It's a basshead can and there's 4 models in the product line the XB300 XB500 XB700 and XB1000. Judging by the size of the headphone in the picture it looks like it's more then likely a XB700. The XB1000's are humongous with a mostly all black headband so I highly doubt it's a XB1000. The XB300 is tiny and the XB500 is roughly twice as big as the XB300 and the XB700 is roughly a third bigger then the XB500's. All the XB's look the same in general overall appearance the only difference being the size of the headphone. The higher up the line you go the bigger the form factor is. I'm pretty sure it's a XB700.

I think you're right, the XB700 is the only one with the silver sides. Unless there's a different form for the Japanese market.

It sure is XB700, as stated earlier. = ) Been thinking to get those myself for the fun...
