I'm looking to spend up to $400 for some good all-around headphones. I don't have an amp, but I'll get one in a couple months if I need it.

I want them to excel in electronic music, but I'd like them to be able to rock too. I have AD700s and I like their warm sound, but I often find the highs shrill, and there is a lack of bass that I want to take care of. I don't need booming bass, just enough so it evens out the music, although I'm not opposed to a lot of bass.

The top contenders right now are the HD600s and DT880 600ohm. Help me choose! Still open to suggestions though. I read some good things about the Denon 2000s but I'm leaning towards the other two.

Thanks in advance!

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for:

I think I'm gonna go with the DT880 600 ohm version. Exciteddd

I bought some Senn HD600 from another member here and I am pretty happy with them..
My choice would be HD600 or HD650 as I have heard good things about them.
