hey,
 
im looking to buy a pair of headphones and i am very very new to all this.
 
I was wondering if you guys can recommend me a good pair of headphones.
 
I will be using them for gaming, movies and music ( rock, rap, hip hop, trance, metal ).
 
I was looking to buy the Sennheiser HD 555s but thought it would be better to ask you guys before purchasing.
 
my price is about $135 USD max.
 
any help will be much appreciated.

oh and i forgot to add, if i get say the HD555s. Is it a must that i get a sound card and/or amp?

The 555's seems to be a good option for gaming and movies, the thing is that they are bass light. 
Considering your music tastes, it seems like you are somebody who loves strong bass right? 
 
And they work fine unamped.

You'll need something different if you really love bass.
