I've tried to listen metal with my HE-560 as they are mentioned in the main post list and I didn't find them so good, Meze 99C that are not listed there sound better for me .. but off course it's just a personal point of view

Yes, the 99cs dont have as much energy in the 2-6khz range. With the 560s you may want to try eqing that area down a bit. The bass performance on the 560s is better, and can bring out hidden bass guitars tracks often buried under the guitars and drums.

What headphones will similar sound like sennheiser hd280 pro? With peaks at 5khz, with bass, good details and soundstage, but withoud sibilants.

The Sennheiser HD280 Pro was the most uncomfortable headphone I've ever tried, and I've tried many. It may have been a competitive headphone in 2006 (when I owned it), but I'm certain you can do much better 13 years later.

Good used options would include the aforementioned Hifiman HE4XX, the HE-400i (on which the HE4XX is based), or a Meze 99 Neo. I've heard the 1More Triple Driver Over-Ear is also good, but I haven't heard it myself. These should all be attainable between $150 and $200 used. I've seen a used 400i for $90 recently.

If you can be patient, just keep an eye on the Classifieds or eBay for a deal on something good used.

There's a big difference between a $100 a and $200 headphone, but the bang for the buck starts leveling off after that, in my opinion.

I have the 1More Triple Driver Over-Ear and they are extremely good but for Metal i still prefer VModa M-100 between them
