1. The AVR is already a flagship level item. Don't think it needs an upgrade. I do have an original Magni as a headphone amp if I need it.
2. The speakers are damn good and they are paired with a sub in my small office.
3. Headphones, I'm pretty happy with what I have so far.
4. The iDSD looked pretty cool, but seemed more of a portable AMP/DAC solution. I was thinking of sticking with Schiit if I upgrade to a better DAC. I just don't know since I am not familiar with DACs at all.
If you want a no-nonsense, good value for money DAC you cannot go wrong with the JDS Labs EL DAC, it sits in my hifisystem between my TV, CD player and integrated Marantz Amplifier and I have had zero issues with it. It's a DAC that doesn't really impart any flavour on the sound, and just gets out the way of the music/TV to allow you to just enjoy the sound.
Hello guys,
I 'll need some advice to buy good "metal headphones".
I mainly listen to Symphonic and power metal and my budget is more or less 500-600$.
I'm looking for "nomad" (closed) headphone (to use with a Fiio X7).
Thanks
How about Ultrasone Signature Studio or Meze 99 Classic?
Ultrasone Signature Studio or Signature Pro? Is that really huge distinctions between Pro and Studio??
You can look also to denon ah-d7200 ... Really great with power and shymphonic metal... And really easy to drive... Perfect with a good dap.Hello guys,

Denon ah-D7200 is fantastic BUT ==> 950$ and for me, 600$ is the most that I would like to spend.
In UK d7200 can be purchased for about 550 euro...
My 2 favorite 'Metal' headphones! (Atticus & LCD-2C)
The AFO are damn, damn, damn good.
