If you are using computer audio with the Grado GS1000 it's good to take advantage of the an equalizer to reduce the 7000 hz by about 4 db. Also the headphones need 200 hours of burnin.

using pico as a stand alone dac hooked up to the gs-1...using SR-80s. not sure where you're getting gs1000's...
