If I have the pico plugged in basically 24/7 will it drain out the battery's durability? i.e. does the outlet charge the battery which powers the pico, or is the battery bypassed when the pico is plugged into an outlet? I know this has been mentioned in a post in this thread, but I don't wanna read through 121 pages again

No. The battery charger turns off once the battery is full.

There is really no such thing as a battery that powers the amp while it is charging. It would be a trick to put current into a battery and take it out at the same time...this is why the DC adapter powers the amp when it is plugged in.
