Hey, bros. i am looking for an amp for DT990 250 Ohm. Somebody gives me advice cause i am a newbie. I was told M3 is a good choice but i prefer the portable one.

E7 should power them just fine, and it's a great place to start. I recommend it in every thread for 'beginners'. Great for the price, has a decent DAC, and can be docked with an E9 later on for a pretty great desktop set-up.

E5/E7 can't handle 250-ohm beyers at all.  =\
 
Give the combo a try sometime so you can know why.

I heard it with the 770s before. Granted, it wasn't the best, but it was certainly a step above direct to iPod. I haven't tried it with the 990s before though. If we could get a budget I'd be more inclined to step it up, but I always fear scaring someone with a more high end suggestion...I'd go for the XM6 if budget is a non issue.
 

Edit: In hind sight it was a pretty awful suggestion on my part. lol
