Ok so its a standard sennheiser hd 650 cable and i was gone for like 2 minutes and come back and it doesnt work on one side, i have concluded by testing the left cable in both cans that the fault is indeed in the right cable.

has anyone ever attempted fixing these or should i just buy a new one or an aftermarket cable?
i definately dont want the new cable to end up the same and if it did i would probably sell the headphones...

BTW i think the fault isnt in the jack plug its in the plugs from the headpone but since the standard cable has a moulded plastic frame i cant get to it without destroying it.

Just buy some Mogami cable for $1 a foot and find the connectors you need to make your own (shouldn't be hard). Making cables is very easy, head down to the DIY section of the forums for some inspiration (it is way at the bottom of the main forum page).
