  Anyone here using the B3s with Fiio X3?? If so, what volume do you use and at what gain setting?

I'm listening on high gain, during my commute through the city the volume is usually at 80 (+- 5), at home or in a quieter place it can go as low as 65.

B3 is not acting like an iem, likes tube amps so much! It's maching so well with Darkvoice 336SE............ now how to carry an 5.5kg amp with 220 volt around :/

IIRC I have to turn my x3 up to about 80 on high gain to get it loud enough. I've answered the same question in the x3 thread before so you can double check by searching there.

I don't have the B3's with me now so I can't check it.

Low gain just isn't enough at max volume?

Ok so T-PEOS came out with a dual dynamic driver/single BA hybrid IEM, H-150, and there's almost no info on it, even with current prices going for $100.00. WHY IS THAT? Did they turn out to suck? Even for someone who isn't a fan of T-PEOS, this seems an intriguing concept.

NX1 matches them very very well. Much better than Fioo E11. NX1 became my only portable amp solution. I got mine from DX while it was 36USD. Now its out of stock at DX

 
You can search e-bay for NX1 (usually goes around 40-50 USD). Please check the NX1 thread for comparisons to the other amps.
 
Best of the best is to use them with tube amps

Will try Muse x5 mini tomorrow and ifi ican nano next month and publish the results
 
But for now I can easily say that dx90 reduced the body on the sound. Was hard to adjust but inevitable.

Well I have the Muse X5, but thats a DAC (or DAC/AMP).
 
For the price (11USD including shipping from Aliexpress) its a no brainier DAC. But if we talk about only about an Amp, it wouldn't deliver that... It certainly is loud enough for B3's but its a DAC/AMP.  Also my PC's sound-card yields better results compared to Muse X5. But my Asus notebook certainly sings with X5.
 
I am still looking for a better DAP for these babies. I was thinking of  xuelin ihifi770, DX90, Fiio x3, x5, etc. Any recommendations will be welcome

Currently listening to Miles Davis "Circle in The Round" album (FLAC format), feels like Miles Davis and all the band is privately playing for me

 

 
So accurate so true to life sound reproduction from B3's! Timbre is excellent! Ohh that sound-stage, just close your eyes and its real!
 
Instruments are well separated and keeping their correct places through the songs. Cymbals splash very very real and never goes to the level of being sibilant.
 
I did never enjoy Miles Davis albums before B3's. No exaggeration here
