I guess K702 will be black version of K701? Many hate toilet white.

The K601 is black with an identical housing to the K701. So not really.

Also, requisite zealotry: the white is awesome! Damn the haters! I think it looks sharp, especially with the brown headband.

There always was something weird with k701. Why design and advertise your flagship phone with iPod stylistics? It even do not fit the ipod technically and will sound awful out of it. So strange...

Just because something is white does not mean it was designed with the iPod in mind.

I personally think the K701 looks pretty sharp, but I can see how others wouldn't.

I was expecting much more from the new flagship headphone of the same brand that brought us the K340's and the K1000's which I absolutely love (both). I really do hope the K702 will sound better and maybe be a bit more comfortable.

That's of course just my opinion so no need jumping about it

Yes. AKG is going backwards.. Why not make a 340 SE..

I've a pair of Sextett Cardans from 1975 and 501s from ~ 1998. They both appear to be collectors items now [tho' I'll refrain from taking them to Antiques Roadshow]. So if you want to get a pair of 701s before the same thing happens to them I suggest you get them now.

Incompetence leads to nowhere.

I love it when something nice, white and simple comes out, and then people label it as "iPod stylistics" or "Apple Fanboyism"...
Then what would you call the people who likes to buy brown colour stuff? ZUNE lover? but wait... no one really makes brown colour stuff...
