What do you mean, does it use teeth?

I noticed yesterday that my pair (which I just recieved last week) has some left driver issues. During certain base notes, the left channel distorts. Similar to when a woofer on speakers makes that flapping noise when it is driven too hard on low frequencies. It is pretty subtle with my headphones, and almost hidden during music with a lot going on. Nevertheless, when you pay $1700 for headphones you want them to perform perfectly.

I contacted Grado, hopefully it can be resolved in a timely manner.

Edit: Grado received my ps1000's for service on Monday. I had them back in my hands by Thursday with the problem fixed. Excellent customer service - likely one of the best in the industry. I can't begin to describe how much I missed these.

I just got a pair. I already like them more than my old GS1000's. I'm coming from a Koss ESP-950 and bought them as kind of a side grade since I wanted something I could easily plug into my laptop (and my Benchmark DAC-1 without having an additional black box).
