Big selling point seems to be their own version of spatial audio ... which I still wonder if that is a 'real' thing or just a gimmick like that 'loudness' button on old hifi systems (which basically just boosted the lows and highs to give everything and everything a V shape) ...

Tried to find some 'neutral' articles on this, explaining the tech behind it .. but most I find is hype stuff .. or critical like this:" It's just a few instruments, some reverb, one voice, and lots of space to give a sense of the soundscape. The whole idea of Spatial is to trick listeners' ears into hearing sounds coming from various places around the listener, using just two headphone or earphone speakers—one in each ear."

Of course I am tempted by new Bose toys, but since they are not even claiming to upped the ANC (maybe reached max level) ... i might save some money here again .. still getting lots of hours out of my QC35MK1 (from 2016/17) and last year's QC buds are still a joy, though somehow they started some weird connectivity fluttering, which can be really annoying at times ... in one case the channels went out of sync and I listened to a whole song with about half a second delay between R/L

Well it is the same sh1t that has been used as "surround" in tv, hi-fi system, etc.

To offset my pain, Devialet left me an actual voicemail saying they refunded me the 20% off for the Gemini 2. That's pretty dang good customer service.
