Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Interesting ... till now none of the TWS I bought are fully satisfying .. I still own them all :
=> Melomania 1 (Tiny but no LDAC),
=> Airpod pro 1&2 (No LDAC),
=> B&O E8 v2 (No LDAC),
=> Samsung Live (No LDAC and weird to keep in the ears),
=> Buds2 pro (Tiny, SSC rather satisfying but some room fotr improvement, Battery playing time too short),
=> 1xJVC & 1xVictor HA-FW1000T (No LDAC probably my preferred sound quality of my list, still missing some playing time with 8h),
=> Jabra Elite 7 Pro (Tiny, No LDAC, sound quality rather dull, longest playing time)..

For sure, as it is very easy to make instant A/B comparison between LDAC/AAC/APTX with Bluetooth Codec Changer App and all of my dongles (BTR7, GoBlu, R3pro Saber, UP4(2022) connected XBA-N3/Xelento/IE600 => clearly no LDAC support is a clearly a real limitation for sound quality with TWS compared to LDAC 900/990Kbps.

Samsung SSC is already better than AAC but... but still not at the level at all for SQ with a little combo like Up4(2022)+XBA-N3.

The HA-FW1000T is, for me, till now the best SQ I own, but it is also still very far from the combo HA-FW1800 with BTR7, => So it's probably due to the very limited AAC connexion with my Z Fold 4/Fiio M17/WM1A.
The Technics AZ80 could have been an option for me if it had 9 hours (without ANC) or more playing time and not 7 hours or less, so I just pulled the trigger for the Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 (LDAC/8 hours/good ANC).. I should get it tomorrow from Amazon and see if it a real step up, to the long way to acceptable sound quality, is done with TWS... I doubt my prefered combo for evening/nights in the bed will loose its crown (Go Blu + XBA-N3)... but... I will see this week end

NB : I use 100% of the time my IEMs playing Qobuz with Powamp EQ Parametric Equalizer activated (Android 10+) with an AuroEQ profile near Harman 2019 V2 target curve or RokudouGoku'one for ambient music.

have bose QCE II for anc quality on road,,, ,want LDAC tws ,seen at oppo enco x2 or similar ldac tws,but im ordered Anker Liberty 4 , pulled the trigger for them today too.

I'd actually ask for a return or cancellation if I can get ahold of someone. Blah. I'm enjoying the 3ANC's. Worth a test via Amazon imo. They exceeded my expectations exponentially.

I love my APP2 and the Studio Beats +. Granted, mostly Apple eco here. The latter do sound better. I use them both often. For movies, others for music. Unless I'm walking the earth.

I sent them an email(three days ago) and requested cancellation. I told them I would just order direct from Amazon, no response

Funny, I don’t have the mtw3 but my recollection is that the mtw2 sennheiser had some of the worst most useless ANC ever. Like zero effect. Nothing. Zilch. I even wondered if they were defective.

I have MTW2 along with APP2 and can attest to the Sennies ANC being next to useless - don't know if MTW3 upped the game in this regard. APP2 is in another league altogether.

I don’t think Air Pod 2s suck but I am often surprised at the praise they get for SQ. They sound thin and tinny to me. Fine for media absolutely not fine for music.

I'm not saying APP2 are more than pretty good sounding but sounds like you got a less than secure fit with yours. Tinny they are not (with a proper seal) unless your taste leans towards basshead. When testing the fit on iPhone you can get more than 1 positive back. For me it said secure on both medium and large tips but large are much better for me. APP2 certainly is a big improvement in bass quantity over APP1.

im prefer best SQ , but ANC is bonus too.

Opera 05 (if you can get a good fit as they are werid shape and big) are the best sounding Soundpeats I have had and I have had a lot including non TWS models like neckbands with dual drivers and aptX HD etc.

They have LDAC and good ANC and the battery life in real use not just claims are good.
