I think this answers my decision about whether I would open the JBL Tour Pro 3 or not...

Now I have to hope like HEdoublehockeysticks I made the right decision...

I believe the JBL has an airoha chipset & the Amadeus has a Qualcom. I do admire the display screen, & I looked into it, only to be told the Qualcom won't support a display.

Sure looks like the Amadeus is for the single driver crowd as mentioned by @FullCircle and will address size issues for anyone who has tried the REX5 and struggled.

Difference in sound... that, as always, is up the ear of the beholder... 😉.

For me single driver versus multi driver is a mixed bag which is why I read reviews and talk here ALL THE TIME...

As for APTx xx codecs, I think that always a tough sell for the manufacturer as much as the buyer. LDAC works pretty much with all Android, APTX xx is a real hit and miss, with Samsung who is going take up a VERY high % of the android devices simply being dicks which places the TWS manufacturer in a really tough spot.

Facts are legit
Subjective comments = bad juju
I think the screen is cool, but limited functionality. It is cool to see the EXACT percentage of charge per bud from that screen though... 😀. Sure makes the case CHUNKY!

Batteries are dead so gonna be a while before I can post any impressions. If I really like these I think I need to maybe STOP buying for a year...

Then maybe I can have enough saved to give a Noble TWS a try! They really do appear to have the sound element down pat and I don't think I have seen to many, if any complaints about connectivity or stuff not working quite right issues.

EDIT: wow in the time it took to write this post and my first picture post. So around 27 minutes, these are up to 69% charged already... pretty snappy.

A full day with the Rex5 and I have to say this is the tws I've been waiting for, since like, 2020. I've bought so many sets that were hyped over the years, PI7S2 and PI8, Gemini 2, Momentums,Beoplay EQ, Moondrops, etc etc.

And while I've enjyoyed all of the above none sounded as good as a truly good set of wired iems to me. Not even $100 iems.

But Noble have done something astonishing with the Rex5. The sound is just awesome, of all the iems I've owned it reminds me most of the Campfire Solaris. They just sound big and enveloping, almost like you're approaching an outdoor festival stage booming out tunes.

Really really impressed and so nice to finally have wired IEM quality in a tws package. It's been a damned long wait, and imo no tws was worth it over Airpods Pro 2 until now.

Limited functionality? You have many of the settings from the app on that screen, slide left to right. If you need app help hit me up in the PM. These are Harmon just like the AKG I had.

I've seen some, you can use the charge case as a remote to start the phone video recording. (A perfect feature for "influencers")

This industry is moving so fast!

Should you be taking about this as sponsor though?
Let’s keep it real—this forum doesn’t run on fairy dust. Just like TV, YouTube, or your Facebook feed, sponsors keep the lights on. The difference? Here, the content’s actually worth reading. So cheers to the sponsors—because without them, we’d be shouting into the void (or worse, paying for it).

This forum has sponsors. True. They should follow certain rules. That's it.

Sorry limited functionality is not quite what I meant. My brain was discombobulated...

No the case has damn near everything but the kitchen sink. So it's not limited at all! My needs or want to use all it's functionality is what is going to be limited.

Good catch!

The case just finished charging the buds so from 0% to 100 in around 45-50 minutes. NICE!

EDIT: buds stated 10 minutes to update, was more like 5. Case said 10 minutes to update, took about 7. So updating was fast and uneventful. NICE!

First listen using original FW nothing adjusted, just raw sound. These are definitely bright and have that BA type of detail, I would say they were a bit shouty.

Second listen after the updates are done. Still bright but maybe just a bit tamed less shouty. Really hard to say if it changed much.

This is all using default codecs so using AAC. Before even getting into LDAC these are more detailed and vibrant compared to the JBL Live Buds 3. So definitely think these are the the most detailed JBL I have tried and I haven't even got using LDAC yet...

Will see what the I can tune these up to...
