If my audio file has a sample rate of 48 kHz for example but I force Bluetooth audio output to 96 kHz in Android developer settings, how does this affect sound quality? Is the audio upsampled by the system, and does this improve or degrade the sound?

After a Month with the GeekFly Amazing GF5 — Why I Went for the Legend 6

After owning the GeekFly Amazing GF5 for a month, I realized I didn’t want to any compromise. So, I went ahead and bought the Legend 6. No doubt about it — this is currently the best wireless sound you can get today. Here’s my journey (not counting super old models like Onkyo E200BTB, B&W C5, etc.):
Devialet Gemini → B&O EQ → Devialet Gemini 2 → HifiMan Svanar LE → HifiMan Svanar → GeekFly Amazing GF5 → and finally, GeekFly Legend 6. The GF5 impressed me so much compared to everything else that I bought the Legend 6 immediately and without hesitation.

There were a few things I want to point out in case someone finds it useful:
My first “blind” purchase wasn’t great — the lacquer on the case already had cracks, even though the stabwood color and pattern looked insanely beautiful. And they stopped charging hahaha!
I was puzzled by the lack of a notch to open the case — it was really hard to get a grip on it. I had to exchange it for a new unit, and now I’m happy with the new one.

Here are some observations and comparisons with first Legend 6 which I bought and some points regarding my new, maybe improved, or may be “upgraded” version:

- The case feels more solid and sturdy
- The mechanism isn’t loose side-to-side anymore; there’s a firm lock when open (which wasn’t there before)
- The cap's magnet is much stronger and better
- The USB-C port doesn’t wiggle anymore
- The earbuds stick to the case magnets better
- The case finally has a notch for easier opening!
- They tweaked the sound a bit — it seems less U-shaped, more balanced, with noticeably better mids. The driver ranges blend much more smoothly, no obvious separation
- They work best with the new JVC Spiral Dots 12 Pro tips. The fit against the ear surface is improved, and the piezo bone conduction works properly. But if you use slightly longer ear tips (like a Spinfit W1, Acoustune AEX70, Azla Max, etc. ), you’ll have to keep adjusting and repositioning them which is not so comfortable.

Sorry for my bad English so I used some smart tools to translate. Hope you understand me.

Dear company, if you make your existing product into an entirely new product, I will buy one.

Ridiculous.
When something costs $1000, it’s not “ridiculous” to ask if a few specs can match my needs — it’s called being a responsible buyer.

Bluetooth 5.4 is a luxury, sure. But asking for Harman tuning on $1000 earphones isn’t exactly reaching for the stars. Tuning closer to Harman is a simple request for a $1000 product

The point is they are not going to tune ONE set just for you. They are producing these in a higher volume. If they tuned to Harmon curve it would be the entire launch.

GeekFly Legend 6.
Did you try the Rex5? At some point, a group of us inquired about the Legend 6 versus the Rex5. Someone posted they have both, and while the Legend 6 is a tad better, the Rex5 does hold its own. So, I'm curious. They seem to have pretty different sound signatures.

Got my SOUNDPEATS H3 on Wednesday but unfortunately like the few Amazon Japan reviewers who all own Opera05's posted the SQ is poor, the bass is wrong and nothing I do can make these sound decent.

The fit is comfy but not a great passive NC no matter which ear tips but so are many of my better branded buds like this.

For references the Sonic, Sonic Pro, H1 premium all give me a great passive seal using aftermarket ear tips without ANC I can cut out a lot of noise outside my home on a busy road.

That said like some of the others that also do not give the best passive NC the ANC carries them so it is one of the best like Bose and a few others I no longer own.

With my MTW4 I have both a great passive NC and ANC but they hurt my ears after a while.

This is the best ANC so far for any SOUNDPEATS I have owned, the Opera05;s ANC was near non existent added to the same poor passive NC.

Got a few bugs with the App not finding them at times and using a lot of battery and twice now when I select the EQ tab my earbuds will either reboot and reconnect or just disconnect/reconnect and they may be in AMB Mode after this even though were in normal mode before.

I swapped the Left Double Click from Play/Pause to ANC controls so I lost no settings and can still do the Play/Pause from the Right Double Click.

The real life battery use seems ok so far on my phone via aptX Adaptive/Lossless and also the same codecs on my PC+Creative BT-W6.

Honestly, I don’t really get how to choose earphones based on text descriptions, spec sheets, or even someone else’s reviews. It’s all about personal preferences, impressions, and feelings. It’s like choosing between a blonde or a brunette — sure, they’re both women, but they’re different. Or like picking a Canadian Sphynx or a British Shorthair cat… You’ve got to feel it, basically.

I can only describe my own impressions and observations. I was deciding what to buy after a year of using the Hifiman Svanar TWS. They were lacking that drive, that “slam” feeling where you just want to headbang or get goosebumps. Don’t get me wrong, they’re amazing earphones with fantastic tuning for a single driver. But I could tell I was missing some musical detail in certain spots. Naturally, I first went for the Rex 5. They felt “flat” compared to the Svanar, like they were missing some spark.

Then I stumbled across an offer for the GeekFly Amazing GF5. An hour later, I had them. To say my jaw dropped would be an understatement. They’re a step up in experiencing music on the go. To make sure it wasn’t just placebo, I went back to a local store and compared them to the Rex 5. The latter clearly lost. After that, I just wanted the best because I’d already tasted something great.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare the Rex 5 and the L6 — they’re on completely different levels, prices, and positioning. It’s more accurate to compare the GF5 and Noble; that’s a fairer competition. But again, to my 44-year-old ears, the GeekFly is the clear winner. Just make sure to pick the right ear tips.

As for the L6 — no question, they’re the best wireless earphones I’ve ever heard. I leave work 15 minutes early just to listen to them a bit longer. And I’m getting goosebumps again.

1 hour: So far connecting to IOS/Android, switching back and forth, and connected to both with no problems.

> vs. the FIIO UTWS5, It be too hard on my mental health (as i don't have that much to work with:) to detach and reattach to A/B.

What I do know: FREEDOM from cables! : > )

EDIT update: The iems do not fit in the case. I've been adjusting and can't close without dislodging the pod from the charger, going back. Have to try Both iems fit in the UTWS5's case. Whew......
