Don't know when they were released. Got them off Amazon. https://a.co/d/804Yo3M
Thanks for posting. Just ordered after seeing your post. I was using the Azla Crystals on my Galaxy Buds3 Pro and was not aware they released a MAX version. Use Azla MAX tips on most of my other TWS as I find them much more comfortable. I'm between the M and L for the stock GB3P tips and the ML size has been perfect for me.

My first reaction would be that those are probably fakes.
Can you confirm authenticity?
Hifiman accepted the serial number, so … ???

How would you compare REX5 vs Xelento2 SQ wise?
They are very different.
Single DD vs complex Multi-Driver.
Xelento2 is bassy and warm by nature, it lacks highs clarity a bit, can sound muddy. It's still fun, don't get me wrong.
You asked me about SQ only but at the end Xelento2 is primerely about comfort and different wireless form factor with a neckband. Rex5 still offers a better overall SQ in my opinion.

Thank you for the comparison. I am looking for the closest thing to a high end IEM go pod combo. Just a grad and go solution for the summer. :) Xelento2 still a 1000 dollar plus IEM anyway so it is quite shocking how good the Rex5 could be.

I was checking out a boat load of different ear tips on my XM5’s and am amazed at the sound difference.. Don’t ask the brands, just pulled them out of a case full of odds and sods.. When the right match is made, the XM5 can sound top notch, in fact, very very good. A single DD, well designed and manufactured. When the Sonys dip to $229 or lower, they are a steal!!!

Yeah, for me it was a real bummer that the FW update that they pushed impacted the equalizer, transparency mode and the updated app became more cumbersome.

Having said all that, I may consider re-purchasing them now when they go on sale mainly for the ANC, the ultra portable case and some other features since finding a top tier TWS with good ANC and a small case isn't an easy task nowadays.
