How would you compare REX5 vs Xelento2 SQ wise?I clearly focus in sound quality. Rex5 responds so well to EQ. I don't believe that any other TWS with single DD can do that.
Pi8 is my second favorite out of the bunch. But it does not sound resolving enough in comparison to Rex5.
Forgot to add Beyerdynamic Xelento2 wireless to the picture. Like them a lot too but they don't sound natural and a bit too bassy/warm compared to Rex5. But comfort and passive seal is probably one of the best of all IEMs I have tried. I guess they are not real TWS, but IMS with Bluetooth neckband
Do you guys know what chip/DAC is used in Rex5?
Also I only managed connect the app on Honor mobile, Samsung S25 ultra does not work whatever I try...

SInce you're on a roll now trying out the UTWS5, what minimum would you recommend to be at least on par with the Rex5?Rex5.

What exactly are you asking? Are you asking what IEM on a UTWS5 sounds similar to the Rex5? If so, that I do not know. What I'm using on the adapters are much better than the Rex5 imo. - Origin and Monarch MK3. But the Rex5 are very very, if not the best sounding tws I've heard. I very much prefer them over the Aviot TE-ZX1. Others did not. I think the Triumph have more punch, but the Rex5 more separation and clarity. If I could get the Triumph with a smaller nozzle, ANC and wireless charging, I'd sell the Rex! I am a big fan of the Triumph sound signature.SInce you're on a roll now trying out the UTWS5, what minimum would you recommend to be at least on par with the Rex5?

I've tried the Rex5 very recently and kinda had a love hate experience. Using the factory single flange eartips it kept moving about in my ear canal and the sound wasn't good. It was only when I used the double flange tips that the sound became better, but I still felt it was fiddly and can be slightly off affecting the sound. The pi8 on the other hand just fit well and stayed put, zero fiddly-ness.
That said when it's in the right position it sounded great, plenty of deep and sometimes overly punchy bass. for context I daily use the perl pro with it's foam tips, and I found the Rex5 to be much heavier in bass.
The app experience on the other hand was just... terrible. Frequent disconnections.
I was just wondering whether I should get the Rex5 and try to find a better eartip, or explore the UTWS5 with a variety of other IEMs and not get locked with the Rex5.

I use the first gen Devialet tip on my Rex and usually have no issues. Some days, yes, they slip out. It's obnoxious. The PI8, I have no issues. I tend to use them more than the Rex. That said, I pick up my AirPods 4 more often for an open ear design and ANC when I'm in the office and have to take calls. If I know I'm not going to be bothered, I use my pricier IEMs with the Fiio adapter or Go Pods. Seemed to have hit my wall as far as buying new stuff lately. Maybe that's a good thing!Yes you interpreted exactly what I was asking. Thanks for sharing that input.

Many have found an ear tip, I never could find one that gave a a solid fit and seal without negatively impacting the sound.Yes you interpreted exactly what I was asking. Thanks for sharing that input.

Speaking of Azla, I just got some AZLA SednaEarfit MAX for my Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. I like them alot, better seal and like you said they don't fall out.
I just got the AZLA SednaEarfit Crystal Standard 2. They are very pliable forming a tight seal.

I'm super curious about these, but can't seem to decide if the sub-brand is real or not. Like there doesn't seem to be anything that has been announced by FIR, socials, or specs or anything for the BT. Anyone know more by chance?Sub brand of the Fir company

Why both the Go pods and UTWS5 if you don't mind me asking? Looking to get my first, any suggestions?I use the first gen Devialet tip on my Rex and usually have no issues. Go Pods are my go-to. Had them first. Why 2? I leave my IEMs on them so I don't have to swap. The Go Pods are higher quality, but more than double the price. Some prefer the cheaper Fiio. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with either. If you can get the Go Pods for a good deal, get them. If not, try the Fiio. I don't have any issues with either. If this is your first foray into a bt adapter for IEMs, maybe consider not spending double the cash on Go Pods and get the Fiio UTWS5 2025 version. Up to you in the end.Why both the Go pods and UTWS5 if you don't mind me asking? Looking to get my first, any suggestions?
