It stuck out to far when sleeping so was hoping the JBL would be more comfortable. They are more comfortable BTW, just not enough to sleep on my side.
Why did you get rid of your xm5?

Speaking of the XM5, I concluded that after the most recent FW and app update I find the different equalizer options to be useless.
While equalizer OFF setting had improved the overall sound the rest of them sound pretty lame compared to what they were before, including the Custom settings. Considering selling them as long as I don’t take a big hit.

Anyone tried compare the Rex5 vs Final ZE8000? ZE8k is my daily driver now. Not sure if its an upgrade

I'm not a side sleeper but I wonder if a short stem might be better than no stem at all since it will keep you from jamming the bud in too far.
I use a mix of stemmed and bud style. They all are OK when I am on my back but side sleep8ng os tricky with everything I have tried. Maybe should have got the Soundcore Sleep A20 instead.

For some reason I find this picture of the ez8k a little strange 👍

I very much prefer the Rex5. ANC, comfort, size and sound are better imo. Granted, the ZE8000 are more clinical imo, but I prefer the bass eq options on the Rex5. The case is better, has wireless charging and they're more pocketable. I wasn't too excited to wear those Frankenstein looking Final ZE8000 buds around town. That said, their new model looks very promising. I'll definitely try them out. Comes out early next year. Forget the model number. Others here might chime in with that.

Probably room for both. Very different sound signatures. The Final is pretty laid back. The Noble is more dynamic, punchier and more exciting.
Agreed. I've had the Final v1 and 2. The 8k sound can be trippy with some albums. I did enjoy them, but prefer the Noble. But even more, still prefer those dang Prestige. They need to do a v2 and fix that nozzle. While it works for me mostly, I want the Triumph nozzle more. This is getting perverted...

I'm sure the Noble team will find new ways to take our money in 2025. Do you think your love of the prestige ties to being a bit of a basshead?

2nd night and found i knocked out the right ear JBL Live Buds 3. So definitely struggling using them at night.

Decided to tip flip this morning. First try of Sony hybrid tips seems very positive. The tip slipped on easily and I like the sound and they are definitely more secure and comfortable. So will see how they work over the next couple of days.

Flipping between these and the GB3P still show the GB3P have the edge in sound quality but I find myself enjoying the Live Buds 3 anyway as they have their own unique sound. Playing with the EQ a lot.
