The technicz az80 blows all these out of the water at nearly everything. I don't know why LG would be on here, they've never made a good audio device before
LG made pretty good phones with their DAC's.

The Pearl pros were praised here by many when they were $350, I can’t believe anyone can fault them under $150. TWS opinions are just impossible to pin down.
You'll find that across the board with all products, because everyone has their own "wants" & preference.

Personally, when speaking of TWS, I will disregard opinion if it only takes sound quality into account, because for me, a TWS is about the "package". Sound quality, ANC, fit/comfort, battery. If only sound is taken into account, or if that's the only area a TWS excels, I don't want to know about it.

The Mofo canceled my eBay order for my Edifier Neodots buy it now £97 on Sunday so not like he lost out in an auction and took him 3 days, not even any contact and he has more for sale.

Lets see what Amazon Black Friday brings in 20mins time F00k him.

Something useful for Samsung users. I've been using "modes and routines" on my s23 for a while for some home automations and (I think) with the latest update I can include the buds pro. It's possible to create a routine like this: IF tidal is playing music THEN set anc on buds3 pro. This way I leave the buds on ambient sound and when music is playing anc kicks in, when music is stopped ambient sound comes back. This is a nice workaround since this feature is not included in the buds setup. Maybe with the latest phones (s24, fold6, flip6) and firmware I think you can do also the opposite, can anyone check?

My commute box for a twice 26 hours oversea trip between centre of France to South West Japan. Just missing on the picture the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds mainly used inside airports for walking to next planes or waiting zones to keep contact with others (family and announcements).
I am still wondering what will be the end winner... assuming nothing can really top for SQ my reference portable combo IER-Z1R / WM1ZM2 though Aviot TE-ZX1 PNK can be really convincing too, with some interesting ANC future.

After the first 28 hours (2 hours more than initially expected), it's still tricky to decide what is the most versatile TWS combo and still able to approach my portable SQ reference.
1) The Jabra Elite 8 active gen 2 are the most comfortable for side sleepers, but ANC is not really that impressive during flights. ANC is too far from Headphones like Technics EAH-A800, and SQ is often really behind IEM like IE600 or IER_Z1R.

2) the Sennheiser IE600, is still convincing for sound quality even behind some chinese BT Receiver (LDAC or LC3) with a 20hours or more playing time in one charge. Though Oval Comply Foam are the most comfortable for me (with most IEMs) => noise cancelling is not really sufficient in planes when flying.. not really bad, but not enough too.

3) the Aviot TE-ZX1 PNK still impress me a lot regarding sound quality :sunglasses:(by a significant margin over all TWS I used).. this 3 ways hybrid with 5 drivers is definitely impressive ...ANC is as good if not better than any other TWS I own (more than 10 recent version)
Unfortunately those large nozzle are a bit uncomfortable and can even hurt my ear canals after a pair of hours.. they are too large for any of my comply foam tips.. but WM1ZM2 in LDAC mode with the TE-ZX1 PNK is the best combo I good get till now from any TWS in my life.

4) WM1ZM2+IER_Z1R+Comply Foam is by a big margin the most comfortable and best sound quality combo I can use everywhere else than inside the plane when flying (unfortunately).. the WM1A was more or less at the same level for years for me.

Actually .. I need for such trip :
1) Bose Ultra Open (mostly when I am in familiy or friends) to keep contact)...
2) WM1ZM2 + IER-Z1R for any time I just want to be isloted enough and enjoy music at best sound quality level available on the way (Qobuz & Personnal files)
3) Aviot TE-ZX1 PNK during the flight acceptable ANC and impressive sound quality.
4) Jabra Elite 8 Ultra for trying to sleep more or less in a bit quite environement during the flight.

After 45 years of regular flights between Japan and France since my first Sony's blue Walkman:L3000:, I would still need a more comfortable Aviot TWS maybe with just less large nozzles, and if possible, with some better ANC too (to reach BT headphones efficiency)...

They are very good and highly recommended at this price. Except maybe for bassheads, the bass is enough for me, but they're not bass machines. SQ is much better than Samsung's GB3P. ANC is average, they let in a lot more voices than other sets, which could be seen as an advantage. The app is basic, but does the job.
Their strong point is clarity, in my opinion. Nice, sparkly treble and clear sound.
Cons: materials feel a bit on the cheap side. Although they have stems, the touch area is limited to the back of the pod, the stems don't do anything. I'd have liked to control the volume by sliding up/down like with Oppo, Samsung, etc

People on here will tell you this X model is better than the other. But the truth is, everyone's ear shape/hearing is different and we don't know what your preference is, sound quality wise, or your budget, so sadly this is a hobby where you have to try them out and decide for yourself unfortunately ;)

I will add though that I have owned the Sony and they are tiny to carry around and are usable in the gym/sweat resistant. But there is a new replacement model coming in 2025 fyi.
