For those who want to use a BT dongle that lets you use aptX on your iPhone, get the Creative BT-W6 over the FiiO BT11 for now. Sure, you lose LDAC, but the W6 just works. The BT11 is a struggle. App is terrible and it doesn't connect to some buds - like my Fokus Prestige. They do seem like a beta product and probably need a few more firmware updates, but at this point, maybe that will never help. When the dongle works, it works well, but the W6 works perfectly on both the Fokus Triumph, FoKus Prestige, iFi Go Pods and PI8. When they connect, they announce what codec you're connected as. Plus, the color scheme when switching between codecs are the correct colors. This is t the case with the FiiO. Also, nice to have a physical button on the Creative dongle. Sadly, the Creative app doesn't connect to them via my iPhone. Not sure if that even matters.
Couldn’t agree more the ease of use. You do need to download the Creative app on windows if you want to enable “lossless”. I am a HUGE fan of the W6.

I have had zero real issues (everything can act up now and then) with the Creative Dongles (4/5/6).

Ideally add it to a USB 2.0 port if using it on a PC, USB 3.X ports used to causes issue with some devices but again used both without any real issues.

The Creative BT-W6 is tempting. As a fellow iPhone user, is the BT-W6 a noticeable sound upgrade. I appreciate your thoughts.

Agreed. But I use the W6 strictly with my iPhone, so user YMMV.

Really, I bought the W6 to use with aptX Lossless and my Denon Perl Pros’. I’ve done some (an hour or so), of switching between aptX and AAC. To me, you may be different, the difference in 16/44.1 tracks is quite noticeable. There seems to be more “life” to the aptX version as the AAC suffers from some type of “flat” or “unexcited” feeling.

But that’s my ears with my buds and my music. As you can see, I don’t want to give you the “you HAVE to buy the W6 now to complete your life!”

Iphone users: a solution for ya, just get an adroid phone 😭 I didn't know it was such a struggle to get a codec on it. I thought I had problems having to use wirelesse from no headphone jack.

I'm actually an android user now leaning toward iphone. I had it with Galaxy S24U. I'm tired the battery draining fast. I'm very tired..... I want the Apple seemless integration, but I'm a PC gamer, so I can't do Mac, otherwise I would go all Mac system so I can have that airpods seemsless integration accross all devices. The wireless exprience is very ghetto as a PC gamer.

I want the effciency of the new M processors, but again, I'm a PC gamer has to use those PCs that looks like toys made in Taiwan, with bright flashy nightclub colors. My video card alone uses 350 watts working as a room heater. This is the PC gamer experience.

For awhile, only reason for Android was the headphone jack, but now that I gone, and Galaxy S24U won't let me split the usb-c for headphone jack and charging.

I'm just tired of all this, just tired... I don't need wireless. get rid of wireless!!!! Let's go back to wired please, when the times were simple.

What about... you know, wireless charging.
Wait for like 3hrs?! It takes to loooooooooooooong! I got an imitation magsafe and all that too, but I found out it's slow as a snail to charge and panicked! Went back to wired with my 60watts wall wart.

I guess that was cheap joke on me. I get it, "wireless," har har. I hate "wireless" with a passion! Anything wireless sucks ass!!

My phones wireless charge rate is 60w and wired is 125w, fully charge in 18mins with the latter but its better to not do so unless in a hurry for the batteries life so I slow charge it at bedtime.

Wireless charge rate on iphones and galaxy is way lower than that or it would create so much heat on the coils, your number is not likely the power draw, but what the wallwart says it's capable of providing. The thing that tells the device to pull such and such amount of current is the phone, the plug part is just the power supply. Actually that's a good idea, and didn't think about that, since you got 8 hrs and you don't want to strain the battery especially when it gets past 80%. I cut off charge at 80%, but some devices like TWS, I obviously has no control over it. Keeping charge so high strains the battery from what I understand.

This is the issue with wireless devices the got damn battery, you want to keep it lasting a long time.
