Hmm...I would question your seal though, with the stock tips, as I would not call these bright by any stretch. I use the largest tips(L) and have the EQ set to optimal. Generally, I would say I don't like bright signatures, at all.
Yeah you are probably right, this was out of the box with the Tips provided. To me they were bright, but yeah thats comaring to my other portable use, the PX8 and the CA Melomania touch ( EQ to provide more bass). I like bass for my portable gear so compared to what I am used to they sounded bright to me.

The Comply tip helped, but I still needed to EQ to get to the sound I like for on the go use. I didnt think I would like the EQ in the app as its a bit basic, but it works well and its easy to experiment with it. So far happy with the purchase.

Did you buy them used? Because the M is on by default, they do come with L tips: 4 pairs of silicone and 1 Comply. I always use XL or L tips, and these fill my ears pretty well! Enjoy man, they are the ones I have held on to the longest.

Bought them new. I did change to the L silicone tip for my initial listen.
So far they are impressing me , nice classy look about them too.

So I currently use the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+ for when I walk my dogs. They sound good for the price, although they're slightly uncomfortable and drop connection at least once in a 1 hour time period. My b&w needs new pads and I need to glue the head band material back together (I missed the 2 year warranty).

Potentially looking to upgrade. I was looking at the B&W pi8 or pi6, Sennheiser mtw4 or the Cambridge Audio m100. Any other recommendations? Anyone have good experience with all of those?

I don't necessarily need one but my work gives us $500 on wellness spending. Home office equipment (which includes headphones) is part of the spend. I could get a good set of wired headphones (was looking at the Aune AR5000) but I still love and use my fostex thx00. Or I could replace the Px7 s2 with the s2e or cambridge audio p100 but I'm leaning more to wireless IEMs

Not tried the M100, but have tried the other 3 and own the Pi8. To be honest you could save some money and ge the Pi6, fantastic sound for that price segment, however drops connection in one bud when out sometimes. Pi8 same issue but happens less and now, I haven't had any dropouts recently in the last week, so not sure what is up with that!? Pi8 sound isn't a huge step up from Pi6 but is very very good with a slightly better EQ. MTW4 are very decent set at a good price now, personally I'd rather get the Pi6 over them if we are talking SQ.

Sounds like the Pi8 would be the equivalent to the PX8, whereas the Pi6 would be similar to the PX7 s2e...not sure if that's a fair statement but that's what I'm gathering. The MTW4 are currently on sale plus I get a $100 off (gift card to the store where I would buy them). But I do love the B&W sound.

Anyone like to comment between the sound differences between the Pi7 (1 or 2) and the Pi8? Looks like Bowers removed the BA and it's custom amp (probably crossover too)
from the earlier TWS. They've gone for a single different (full range) DD with a carbon cone. This could allow for a smoother frequency response and might be a real advantage for classical music. As it is, my Pi7's (original) offers some of the best piano, wind and string tones. Piano concertos are rendered beautifully..

For those who have them, iFi has a new firmware out for the Go Pods. Buckling up now...

Go Pod Change Log: BT=V1.54 >> V1.59

1. Resolved aptX Adaptive Playback Noise Issue

o Fixed issue where some devices (e.g., Xiaomi K60) experienced noise

with aptX Adaptive playback after reconnecting once the Codec was

set in Gaia.

2. Improved Connection Stability Between Left and Right Earbuds

o Optimized to prevent occasional disconnection between left and right

earbuds during upgrades or regular use (indicated by red and green

flashing).

3. Enhanced Output Stability for Single Earbud

o Addressed issue where a single earbud would occasionally lose output.

Switching to the next track or reconnecting Bluetooth now restores

functionality.

4. Battery Display Optimization

o Improved battery display to address rapid battery drain when power is

low.

5. Performance Enhancements and Bug Fixes

o General optimizations and minor bug fixes to improve overall

performance.

If this ever drops under $200, I think I’ll pick it up. Looks fun and I’d like to see what it can do with my AKG N5005’s..
Btw; looks like the N5005’s have dropped to under $100 refurbished on EBay…
It’s on the N5005 thread here on Head Fi..

Anybody try the SoundPeats Breezy out yet? They are 40% off and looks like a decent design plus I like the PU + PUN titanium coated speaker. Always liked the titanium sound traits whether it be a Koss, Goldring or Cresyn etc.

Yeah I have them. Not that impressed with them tbh - they sound OK for open ears but not especially comfortable and feel pretty flimsy
