What is the SQ and ANC @ 100% manual (not Adaptive) like?
Aw man that's unfortunate to hear. It's still up in the air what I'm going to do. At least I have some time to do some more research. Pretty lame that I have to wait about a week or so to get this returned through Amazon and get my refund. The Melomania M100 were a very flawed product at at launch (I personally found this and a few reviewers said the same), not sure if newer FW updates fixed the issues.
Wow, I can't believe I forgot about the SE846. I remember switching from the EarSonics SM64 and spending a lot of money at that time on the 1st Gen SE846. The 1st Gen SE846 stands out as the IEM that I sold the fastest and regretted buying the most. The highest physical noise isolation already exists in the form of... well, just that, isolation.
A pair of COMPLY P-Type on an isolating IEM, thats as good as it gets.

Its an Monitor with an typical Monitor sound^^ the cool thing is that you can switch between sound signatures and so you can use it as an stage monitor but also as an studio monitor. With the 2 Gen the added an filter for "Audiophile Listening" that is based on the neutral filter but has treble extension so everything sounds a bit more detailed/wide/open. But its still an Monitor, yes. You can change the signature a bit, but all signatures are variants of monitor tunings.Wow, I can't believe I forgot about the SE846. Have you heard of the noise reduction on calling with the galaxy buds 3 pro? It is mind blowing. So, I've gotten my Linkbuds S, and I've been told that I can be heard well through it's mic. So, I get why my $20 p20i won't cut it for mic quality.
I think the Linbuds S is a great deal for what you get. Highly recommended! This is the TWS I was looking for.
I'm thinking the future of mic quality is AI ambient noise reduction. You know, gaming GPU's using it for upscaling, why not noise cancellation? Only thing I don't like the mic thud I get when I'm running with ANC on.
My guess is that Linkbuds S was Sony WF-1000XM4.5
Nope, I do not want to know at this point since the price.Have you heard of the noise reduction on calling with the galaxy buds 3 pro? It is mind blowing.
Actually, one thing I overlooked is a rechargeable wireless BT device. I can use that and use wired with a good mic. Since I want the inline mic quality. The highest physical noise isolation already exists in form of... well just that, isolation.
