Thus far the AKGs are the real deal. ANC is above average, and I forgot all about the dongle. I plug it in and get Hi Res from Tidal, no worry about my codec. Give me another day and I will post some more.

Are they worth the price in your opinion? What is the sound signature like? I am very interested in these ones.

I found them for $239.00 USD on eBay. This is most definitely worth that price, IMO. "Worth it" is very subjective. I really am critical and not one to gush, but I am sitting here smiling. It is a full, rich sound with fairly wide TWS staging. Please keep in mind that I use Android, and FLAC is noticeable, but I was really surprised when I switched to AAC; it was almost there. The icing on the cake was when I was like, what the hell, let's plug the dongle into my phone, and I checked Tidal. It bypassed my Bluetooth and was showing full FLAC in Tidal.

The app has a ton of features, and I have it figured out; there are menus and sub-menus. If anyone has questions, I spent some time this morning "learning" the app. I am always hesitant to make hasty recommendations, but for 239.00, it is not a 400-600 investment, so I feel a little better about that. Keep in mind in Android, with Hi-Res selected, some of the features aren't available.

The tips are slightly football-shaped, not excessive. So when you place them in your ear, keep in mind the tip direction and tiny twist. Then run the seal test. I didn't like the "for my ears" setting too much, but I only played with it quickly; I will try it again. It appears you could tip roll; I didn't try it.

Sounds great! A question to ask though:
How can I be sure they are not fake when I buy them off ebay?

What exactly does the dongle do?

So when I plug the dongle into my phone, it bypasses the Bluetooth and uses the DAC therefore, you're not bound by the Bluetooth codecs. So if you use tidal and you're using Bluetooth it will gray out flac and how many bits the song is and displays when you click on it it is Bluetooth compressed. When I plug the dongle in it opens it up and clearly shows that it's flac 24-bit, 16-Bit or whatever

How does it connect to the ear buds? WiFi?
