6 months of arguments for free? I’m good lol
Oh It’s Apple Music. Although I don’t use it and I’m in the queue for free 12-months, guess ya’ll were discussing streaming services. For myself I’m more of a guy that had a bunch of CDs and digitized. Tons of mp3s and one giant playlist.

Getting to EQ, though let me refraze, how does EQ affect battery performance on modern TWS and your Phone, I have a bunch of TWS but most don’t have apps working on IOS 15. Plus streaming files over 5G could take it hit too. I have 79% battery health not sure it will make it through the day.

Stuck on iOS 15? Update your phone…. That’s kinda important since iOS apps don’t support older devices that are stuck on older versions of iOS unlike Android.

Anyway iPhone only does AAC for streaming so you’re not burning any more battery…and don’t waste time trying to enable something like LDAC on iPhone. You can’t . Lastly EQ is purely on your TWS set your phone will not be affected by EQ on the TWS.

Pre-ordering Galaxy Buds 3 pro as I have S24U and Galaxy Book pro 360 laptop. From the call demo, it seems the call quality has been upgraded a lot. The voice sounds more natural. The ANC I couldn't really care much, but a good ANC is always welcome. The transparency mode also been upgraded to sound way more natural and can compete with Airpods. What I like about the GB3Pro is the addition of 9-bands EQ, more controls on ANC and Ambient mode, planar and DD.
I am going to have 2 months vacation to SEA from early August to late September and GB3Pro might be a candidate for me to bring on that trip.

Wouldn’t these need serious EQ’ing just like my Audeze i20’s to approach a listenable response?? What do they know that Audeze doesn’t.. I think it goes with the territory, planars are difficult to tune, but maybe I’m wrong. Audeze has the cyber cable with built in DSP. I’m all for it if the onboard DSP can do some magic 👍
Aviot TE-ZX1 PNK also includes a planar, along with 3 BA's and a DD, however. Best sound I've heard from a TWS.

I will stay, thank you! I will enjoy the full capabilities of my AirPods Pro 1 and update when the iPhone 16 Pro releases, appreciate the advice again.

AAC streaming… yeah it isn’t great. I accept that and also the lower powered lightning output on my iPhone 13 pro compared to iPhone 14 Pro & 15’s USBc output which is compatible with way more dongles that have no battery and higher mW requirements.

I am more interested in figuring out how is battery of devices affected by EQ., as far as official or user generated data on how EQ or DSP -on (hardware or software) affects battery life. I’ve had android tablets and daps that ran for example Hiby music player, Poweramp, or (insert TWS makers software here) which have nicely engineered software mods that can “fix” problems. I’ve noticed battery life has gone down as much as 20-30% on those devices when enabled. I wonder also if battery life on the TWS IEM is affected also. I figured I’d ask here but maybe it’s a question for the Sound science board. Btw, I would never EQ an already EQ’s TWS IEM/headphone or Bluetooth connect to a dac/amp like my iFi go Blu to another amp, to an output device, if that was what you were asking in that last statement. It’s a little confusing and slightly beyond me.

I dunno about that, Samsung is dropping planar TWS this month. But Staxx is a great company, looks promising.

Audeze has some of the worst tuning in the entire market, no one has done planar iems consistently worse than them. There are better sounding $100 pairs, wish I was exaggerating.
They're dual drivers.. plenty of them around.

These are solely planar.

Check it out, Sony bought Audeze and explains the planar drivers. Sony is a top DSP originator (ATRAC, Home Theater, Surround Sound…etc..) with decades of experience. At $200, wow worth a look.. Thanks for the link! 👍
I see them fairly cheap locally. No ANC or ambient if I remember correctly.
I’ll try to see if I can demo them first.
