He wakes up sweating from nightmares where he can only order from Aliexpress and has to wait a month for everything.
Never. I lost Ali patience a long time ago. I need immediate gratification :beerchug:

Any early adopter get their JLAB Epic Lab Edition yet?
Mine deliver Friday and Amazon has/had a 50 off coupon I used. Until you asked and @erockg said he had them coming I never heard of them, I haven't been paying attention as I am quite happy with my B&O EX, Svanar and H95. Once I saw @erockg say they were coming Sat., I looked and I could get them on Friday and there was a 50 off coupon, it doesn't appear to be there anymore.

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking for forever but typically focus on the TOTL TWS and I've been asked for advice for what to buy for two little cousins (8 and 5) to use with ipads.

I'm tempted to say that they should just get a cheap wired set, but I figure it's worth asking: What is one of the most solid purchase, game compatible (low latency), cheapish (Ideally under $50 - $75), and ideally water resistant TWS sets that we can get for them? I'm thinking Fiil, JLab, any of the brands that offer a cheap but solid option.

TIA!

How about some headset instead of earbuds?

Using earbuds early will destroy their hearing abilities and can cause ear infection

Okay, just picked up a set of Denon PerL Pros for the low price of £170 (A grade) from CEX, and wow, these are great! Turn on high gain in the settings, max out immersion for that extra bass, and they really pack a powerful punch! Fantastic sound for TWS earbuds. Way better than the Sony XM5 buds I sold after a day (replacements for faulty XM4). I'm using some final audio tips, they fit snug without the need for any of the extra ear fitting rubber bits/bobs Denon provide.

They are running aptx adaptive (not aptx lossless) which still sounds very good. I don't know what sources support aptx lossless, but it doesn't seem like many. My phone has a Qualcomm 8+ Gen 1 and still doesn't have that codec, maybe it's a Xiaomi thing with my handset?

The special ear mapping app from Denon really didn't change anything for my me, so I don't use it. I guess that is dependant on each persons ears, my results stayed nearly within the little circle mapping, showing no real sensitivities etc...

Cheers! :)

Ooh, just because of size? Hearing damage potential?

In that case, is there any on ear TWS style you'd recommend?
There are now lots of kid-specific wireless cans that are smaller and have volume limiters.

Aside from safety and fit concerns, TWS would probably be lost. I would stick with wireless unless you want to get blamed for them yanking those Ipads off the table onto the floor.

Kids are also dirty, and will often do things that are less than hygienic. They don’t tend to realize that the lint and dirt that can get stuck to in-ears that get shoved into a school bag can sometimes end up in their ears—or that in-ears can lead to infection of the ear canal. For this reason, over-ear and on-ear headphones are generally preferable to in-ears.
