New JVC at $59 starting price. Not bad as far as features... BT5.3 and is a class 1 device, ANC, ambient, LL mode, Normal/bass/clear EQ on board. No controls left out even EQ and LL mode vol. and track controls, mic mute, single side use gives volume control on either side you pick. 6 hours with music and ANC on. Includes silicone and the marshmallow foam tips. Better at $50 or under which they will certainly drop below but these should be a solid budget option. Still wish they would pause on ambient instead of volume lowering.

Just a word of warning, I got the new JBL Live Flex semi in-ears and they're going back. Double the price of the older JBL Tune Flex and with more bells and whistles like spatial audio and others, but ultimately worse sounding to my ears. Pretty disappointed, as I didn't expect this. Oh well.

Recommended semi in-ears: Huawei Freebuds 5, JBL Tune Flex, Baseus Storm 3, Soundpeats Air3.

Same here. Not worth biting on the price drops of the older tech imo. ZE8000 have been occupying me for weeks now. Cleaning house (eBay) with the dust collecting units these days.

These are straight from Technics... I've always been a big fan of the company, and this allows someone on a tight budget to get a taste of the higher end. But yeah, I don't hear a massive difference between my top end Sony, Sennheiser, Bose, Jabra and Bowers & Wilkins.. I suspect the same thing with the Technics, just a different flavor. I actually find fit more important than the slight sound differences. I do use EQ and can come close to matching them all..

Dude, I just returned my ZE8000. They were good to me, but not WOW. I figured out the fit and all was good with that, but meh! The Buds 2 Pro with the SSC on the S23 Ultra sounds really good and the ANC is above average. I would not get them if I couldn't utilize the SSC codec. Of course the EX but want to see what is coming.
