I have the mk2. I was thinking about picking up utws5 (for the third time) because I'm a glutton for punishment and hate saving money.
Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

You may wanna consider the Shure TW2 adapters, they are plenty powerful and flawless in terms of functionality.
My wallet has been thanking me since I have no plans of upgrading anytime soon.

I actually bought them to compare to the utws5 last time I had them. I liked the Shure form factor better, but the Fiio wins in terms of overall resolution. Fiio also says they plan to release an LDAC update. Fingers crossed on that. @Luke Skywalker I just reordered the utws5. Who needs savings? We will probably have a mushroom/fungi induced apocalypse anyway.

I have way better luck with the Fostex TM2C and the Shure adapters. Swapped out my MK2 for the Campfire Andromeda 2020 and the Thieaudio Clairvoyance. Haven't found a reason to look back. Yet!
You're not going to get much better than the APP2s, IMHO.

Best sounding for me based on so far what I've tried is Final Audio ZE8000. It's the most natural sounding earbuds with amazing details, imaging and reasonable good sound stage. Sound stage and depth is far better than headphones, yes headphones from Bose, Sony and even Apple. I've not come across another TWS earbuds that does vocals as good as this.

It would not be hard to be better than Sony or Bose for SQ and I would assume Apple also though I do not own their products.,
The MTW3 is far better sound than the above and the FiiO FW5 may just be better than those for SQ (but cannot compare both now as no longer own the MTW3.
I am not into boutique brands either as they are overpriced and from the couple I did try like Noble for one were not very good.
For daily out and about I could happily make do with my Soundpeats (H1 Prem & Sonic Pro) V shaped SQ.

Owning and using: APP2, APM, iPhone/iPad and ATV4K - so damn convenient.That's what I'm "afraid" of (wanting to burn some cash).
Was that via AAC codec?

I have just bought the Beoplay EX and I am really impressed sound wise. But: When I have them in and play music, my wife hears the music playing (when she sits next to me). I don't have that with other IEMs and I have tried different tips and tip sizes already. Is that a common issue with the Beoplay EX? Is there anything I can do against it (like choosing a different mode in the app)?
