It's rather a great news to hear. As same as others, if the SQ is better than GS-1, I am going to purchase one. Just curious to ask, any chance if putting one balanced input on the X2 instead of 2 RCA input? Or can we speical request for it upon order?

Judging by the price and form factor, I doubt it. But lets see, I'm hoping for the same.

Putting in balanced inputs would require converting the signal to single ended, either through an additional discrete circuit similar to the amp itself or a transformer.  Either approach would add significant cost to the amp and little or no benefit unless you are running extraordinarily long cables.

I am very eager to see what this amp ends up looking like, hopefully sooner than later. I am sure, given Headamp's excellent track record, that this will sound exquisite. The perfect desktop rig for my bedroom computer console, I hope!

take the BHSE amp chassis, shrink it down to 5.5" wide, 8" deep, 1.5" tall plus feet.  there it is.

Thanks for this, Justin. Still, very excited to see what this 'Little Island' amp will look like, in actuality. Does it have, essentially, the same isolation feet as its Big Island brethren (scaled to size, I assume)?

In scale, maybe slightly lower profile.  But they are typical rubber feet.  There would be no reason to do anything different.  Actually, the BHSE feet are being replaced with some really large heavy duty rubber ones I found.  They're more functional than machined metal spikes.

Hi Justin, I'm quite interested with the Gilmore X2 that is coming out soon. Will it have enough power to drive a pair of bookshelf speakers like Omega Super 5 Monitor?

so it's a little bit bigger than a gilmore lite. is the circuit much different? how does it differ sonically from the g-lite and the gs-1? is there a projected release date yet (other than 'next year')? thanks.
