Geek HPA by LH Labs

That HPA is wider and less deep than the current LPS and Pulse casing. If you're looking to stack them they won't stack easily.

Thanks

Just got a notification: the DAC SE/Infin are getting chassis upgrades...I'm hopeful that Some of us can stack the tube HPA on top of the DAC. (At least the regular HPA can have the DAC on top.)

Also, a chance for some with the xfi to perk up...

It's the way of the future.

For regular 3.5mm trs, you don't need an adapter if the socket is implemented correctly (like the Hifiman players) because the shared negative 3rd pole would contact the socket's negative 3rd and 4th.

There are some theories that this is not the best for single ended...but I can't remember why.

Anyway, an adapter should only be necessary for iem's with the mic or remote feature.

I got the ACX-I #5 and ACX-II #5 for my SS HPA.

Just want to confirm that when the HPA gets shipped, these will be installed while the default ACX-I #1, ACX-II #1 and extra ACX-I #2 (free as i am an Infinity backer) modules will also be packed separately in the same package?

Will not be surprised if they will be packed and ship separately (additional ACX modules).

For me I backed ACX-I #4 and #5 for my Tube HPA. Now on a hunting for some good 6922s and its equivalents

How do you guys think the LH Labs Tube Headphone Amplifier will fair compared to some of the commonly mentioned amps around here e.g. Ragnarok, Mjolnir 2, Cavalli Liquid Carbon etc? I am considering buying this on the Indiegogo campaign.

Cavalli Liquid Carbon is a balanced/SE amp but not a tube based. As far as competing with the SS HPA, knowing the head designers behind the wheel, both will be knocking our socks off but in the long run, I prefer the HPA features and the seperate amp outputs, the design is more modern and performant.

What about the mjolnir 2? it is more expensive than the campaign price for HPA and is a tube amp? The power ratings are close with the HPA having an upper hand. That said the HPA will probably sound best with an LPS which adds to the total cost.

What about the Mjolnir 2? it is a tube amp like the HPA with power ratings that are very close even though the HPA has an upper hand. The HPA will probably sound best with an LPS which are hard to come by and this increases the total cost.

Honestly I look more forward with this than the Wave.
