Agreed, it does kind of stink for those who already received an LPS. But at least you have the LPS powering the DAC which is going to show better results than running an LPS for the amp and an SMPS for the DAC; the signal won't be degraded as early thus reducing the improvement of the LPS on the amp.

I've heard the early Xfi running on an LPS and it sounded very nice. The Infinity should improve upon that and really deliver something special.

That why we have the sound promise guys, wouldn't want to leave all our LPS backers hanging :-) Check it out its under our support page.

It's no longer known only to the FTKs.

Pulse HPA SS Amp Upgrade
"Select this perk if you have elected to contribute to a Pulse Solid State HPA and want a set of upgraded operating amps in Pulse HPA’s voltage gain stage, Larry has hinted that these will possibly come from Muses. We’re listening to a few other contenders, and will take suggestions inside the Force Forum. If you’re a Pulse SE, Pulse X∞, or Vi DAC backer, you get this perk automatically. No need to back this perk."

and

Pulse HPA Tube Cap Upgrade
"Select this perk if you have elected to contribute to a Pulse Tube HPA and want the capacitors in Pulse Tube HPA’s voltage gain stage to be upgraded to Mundorf Mcap EVO Silver / Gold & Oil Series capacitors. If you’re a Pulse SE, Pulse X∞, or Vi DAC backer, you get this perk automatically. No need to back this perk."

so now that the official geek HPA is only 94 minutes away from being available to back.. was the solid state HPA ever confirmed that it worked with a single 12v LPS?  I see a lot of people saying solid state is 1.2amp 12v, and tube is 1.2amp plus 0.5 amp required but was that ever officially said?  I have a leftover 12v lps so this will determine if I back...
