It seems like gas is costing a lot more to cruise around now. It seems as if it gets higher and higher each day. Today was 3.39 in San jose CA

Where are you? and how much is gas for you? very curious

$2.85 for regular, $3.05 for super in fairbanks, ak

You'd think we'd get more of a break, since it's pumped here, refined here, and they don't tax it heavily...

At the moment here in Erie it is about $2.89. It dropped $.10 cents a few days a go.

NOBODY in the USA has the right to complain about petrol prices. We are getting closer and closer to the £1 per LITRE here in the UK.

Even more for diesel.

yeah, but for the most part y'all in europe don't use/need gas anyway near as much as us americans, right? Cars are really the only way to get from place to place nowadays . . .

I agree. When I am in Europe - I can walk almost everywhere. I can't even walk to my local supermarket here because it is so far away. We also have no tube system like in the UK.

Tube system? Not everyone in europe lives in one of the capital cities, theres a lot of countryside here too remember, and towns villages and hamlets. Besides, public transportation (in Britain more than the rest of europe) is close to third world standard, especially the train system. We make up for petrol prices by tending to drive more fuel efficient cars on this side of the pond.

We also drive on the correct side fo the road
