Any electronic music, or is this a particular electronic music Cd you refer to?

I just got one in the mail from the head-fi gift exchange, I think any aggressive electronic music should work but if you want to use the exact same album I just put this album on loop for 2-3 days:

Lol...it is the trend of Japanese manufacturers...Z7, th900...thx00
biggrin.gif
. I found it to be quiet useful as I can now watch movie on my couch with headphones attached

. Though I have to do removable cables mod. How do you like it ? Cooking and slamming your music together ? Useful isn't it

At least the Z7's cable isn't ridiculously thick and it's much more flexible

what is the HE650?  (you mean the HE560? It costs $899?)  I'll agree that the HE400i is better, but they're also completely different headphones.

Wait just a second there bud.  The HE-400i is better than the HE-560?  Sorry, but I and most probably the majority of audiophiles who own both would have to disagree with you there.  I've listened to every HifiMan He-6 and below and the HE-560 is the sweetspot.  Definitely much better than the HE-400i.  And the HE-560 are NOT $899.  They are sitting right now on Amazon at $689, sold by HifiMan, brand new and have been there for some time now.  That's a steal and a better buy than the 400i at nearly $400.

I don't think fjrabon was saying that HE400i would be better than HE560 - I interpreted it differently than that. He was responding to post #2952 which later reeltime corrected his typo of HE650 to what was intended as HD650. The original post meant to say one fella prefers Senn HD650 (mistyped as HE) and HiFiMan HE400 over TH-X00, for the price. In post #2957 the other fella conversed the 400i version is better then the TH-X00 in context from the two conversations. He compares 400i to "...premium...on a closed headphone". That's how I read it. First fella reposted in #2963 he made typo and meant to say HD650, not HE650 as originally typed (and led us to maybe all think HiFiMan HE560 accidentally).

Have HE400i, HD650 and TH-X00, and agree with both fellows for the price, the 650 and 400i outperform the Fostex.  With note comparison is different open vs closed. Am happy with all 3, and like the 3. Needed a fun lifestyle basshead type for my collection, and the wood cups are nice. Fan of biocellulose, especially prefer Sony's vectran based substrate over other and newer microfiber processes. Previously posted the CD3000 outperform these Fostex (Sony is more refined among other things).

Agree the HiFiMan HE560 at current $689 price is a great buy, like asabides writes. So, I agree with all 3 guys, just want to keep a backseat to it all, and wrote how I read that context mix-up. Change is Good just posted about the same context impression as I typed this.

This is correct regarding the model mixups.

So it´s essentiallly a 200$ headphone sold for 400$. Yet some say it´s a steal and should cost like a TH-900. Open vs closed of TH-X00 doesn´t isolate it must be compared to open headphones not closed. What a nice way to make sure to get good reviews otherwise. Fake that it´s closed and offer isolation and it get compared against headphones that actually isolate and thus get more problems controlling resonances.

Have you heard it? This seems wrong in like 6 different ways.

No I am only reading the impressions here. I sure hope I am wrong as I invested some 550$ into it
