900mkii is as good as a daily driver as almost anything I can think of.

TH900 is too v-shaped for me to be a daily driver - my brain gets overheated too quickly.
SR-009 or Pro 82 v2 are far better daily drivers, to which I can listen for hours without any fatigue.

There is no V in the TH900mkii I have.

True one must work out and lift weights daily to stay fit to use the th900 everyday. My use horse steroids for my ear drums.

Been on a C9/TH900 jam today. Still waiting on my Moon Dragon cable for the TH900, but already with stock cable and a Furutech 6.35/3.5mm adapter, the results are stellar.

Thats a sweet setup. How would you compare your experience with the TH900 to the ZMF VC?
They both sound superb out of the C9. But generally, I find the TH900 is more or less complete in itself; it doesn't require burn-in, doesn't require pad swapping, EQ'ing. I'm changing the cable because I want 4.4mm termination and something shorter. The VC is a different beast; it's more of a chameleon headphone, and can either sound amazing on some set-ups or underwhelming on others. Picky headphone. You also have to play with pads, source, cables, etc to "tune" it. After having mine for several months, I only recently decided to EQ it a little to my liking. All the ZMF headphones in my experience are basically mid-focused if not mid-forward. This has always been a bit of issue for me, but after lowering the lower-mids by -2.5db or so, I find the overall clarity is exceptional. It's probably the most "balanced" headphone I have despite the mid-centric tuning. The TH900 just grabs you right away without any of these tweaks, though. Both great headphones.

Hey guys, is anybody using the ZMF pilot or copilot pad with a pair of TH900s? I'm trying to figure out if either one is a good fit.

I have a spare ZMF copilot and can try next week with my TH900 if you like.
Thanks :) I would like to know which one(s) fit the best.

try to decide between Fostex TH900 Mk2 and campfire cascade, to a basshead, which one is bassier? Thanks.
Ha so funny. 1. Can your ear fit in the square cascade , 2. Cascade has bad treble , 3. Cascade has bass but not detailed bass. 4. Forget the cascade

thanks for your reply! TBO, I have not tried cascade yet so I don't know whether my ears can fit in the square cascade... Basically, I have a few candidates, how does TH900-II compare to Sony MDR-Z1R and Audeze LCD-4?

Had all the headphones you mentioned. Sold all of them too except for the th900. Z1r great build , more comfy but a lot of sound flaws. Also if I look up I stab my shoulders with its weird cable connections. LCD4 comfy but heavy and must use the right amp or it sounds flawed. Its a very laid back headphone.
