Fostex TH900 MkII

And i have been experimenting with pads since originals were worn out(waiting for a pair now)
They came with Deconi velvet, bass yes, comfortable yes, treble, too hot.
Got these Geekria, incredible best possible Sheepskin, deep pads, smaller opening, very comfortable, sound is definitely reduced treble, rest is very enjoyable, no complaints, a keeper.

Not as deep as Geekria, so ear a little closer to driver, but good quality too and same kinda opening. Bass reduces a bit and treble too, seem more mid forward if that's your thing, I'm not keeping those.

So, now waiting for original pads as they might be the most open sounding, though treble will prob be too hot.
Right now, with Geekria pads, i don't think this can would have had a reputation for too much treble.

I absolutely love the Th900, they come in quite late in my journey, but it's the most fun I've had in ages.
L&P P6Pro / C9/ TH900 MK2♥️

About to sell the Denon 9200 i think🤔

Yes, that's what many say, but these Geekria are so well made and cheap for what they are, you also have 2 different headphones 😁🍻

Would you compare the 9200s and TH900s? How long have you had the Denon and the Fostex? (I ask this to all owners of both cans, because I'm intrigued about the Fostex and I have the Denons  )

how similar are their sound signatures?
One more neutral and the other more dynamic. One great for church the other for clubbing.

9200 is more neutral and great for church I guess?
I mean more serious and doesnt wants to get down. Th900 always in the club but easily can be serious for a time.

Couple of tweaks to my TH900 MK2: Lawton pads now installed and the cumbersome stock cable has been replaced with a Plussound X8 with silver plated copper terminated in 4.4mm rhodium plug. End result: Sade just got an upgrade.
