Impressions! :)  I'm anxious to hear your opinion.

I'm just letting them play right now.

I was hoping my GS-X v2 and my Master 7 all arrived at the same time so all of the m can burn in at the same time.  Is see it's going to be a staggered arrival.  Oh well.

I'll give them a few hours run in..

Hey congrats!

Let us know what you think! These (along with the W3000ANVs) were the first closed headphones I've heard that I felt I wasn't sacrificing sound quality for noise isolation.

And you should absolutely love them on the GS-X.

This thread was just too tough!  My TH900s arrive on Wednesday.  Glad I have nothing planned.

Thanks for all the good info here.

You won't regret it...you're in for a major treat. These are the best closed headphones, PERIOD! They also give the open ones (T1; hd800)? run for their money). Also much more versatile than the lcd2 and he-6, and quite easy to drive too!

Very pleased with my TH 900. Tonight I'm to listening Above & Beyond, Kill the Noise, and some M83. The comfort is getting a tad better, still not as comfortable as the D7000. Its just the pads are stiffer. Comparing these side by side with the denons, there is just a complete jump in overall refinement, The TH900's soundstage is the biggest difference I see so far, pretty wide for a closed can.  I really love the new stand it comes with, I just wish it had like a hook to put the cord on.

Mine came in last week and I've tried my damndest to be a fan, but I think I'll be returning them.

I find myself reaching for the HD800s most of the time and the SR-002s when I don't want to disturb my cube mates over the TH900s 9/10 times.

Just checked PriceJapan and its $1,557 shipped to the US via EMS. Has the price of these phones been going down? It's still 1,999 on TTYJ.

Also, some have mentioned that there is some sound leakage (i.e. it's not completely closed). Is this due to the pads not fitting properly for some?

Not due to pads, it's the design of the headphones to not be fully sealing. Just like the D2000/5000/7000.
