Hi All,

I was wondering how well the TH600's sealed sound out compared to the Audeze LCD-2.  I have and love the LCD-2 but want something that will seal better foe when the air conditioner and fan are running.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The TH600s in stock form don't isolate that well and they leak quite a lot of sound for a closed can. I've change mine to HM5 pads which had improved both by quite a bit. I use my TH600 as my portable so this is a must for me

Are you using the new memory foam HM5 ? They are taller, feel firmer.

I got it a while back so probably not but still good for me. Might try the memory foam soon. I got mine from MP4nation. Can I get it from the same place

New to this thread.  I didn't do any searches and I'm sure this question has been asked many times before.  How does these compare to the Alpha Dogs.  It's going to be one or the other.

However, I think I'm over modded headphones.  So if the 600 sounds better or just as good as the Alpha Dogs - I'm all in.  I don't want the TH900 either - the bass is just overwhelming to me and the mids are recessed.

So let me have the scoop on the TH600.  Thanks..

The 900 is obviously better then the 600 the mids are more recessed the bass is looser and and there brighter and harsher! I've ended up with jvc dx1000, the bass is as deep but lower in volume, never boomy and really tight, the mids are forward and smooth and the top end is clear but never harsh.

When I did A-B the 600 and 900, I went for thr 600 as the 900 lower mids is thinner than 600. With female vocal, it just lack the body. The upper mids goes to 900 though but I just couldn't get used to 900 mids.
I ended up buying the 600, but it only lasted me for 6 months before I changed it for LCD-X

Finally I get myself Wooaudio WA7 to pair with my TH600. For the past few weeks or even probably months I stopped using them and loving my Hope VI more.

But after I tried to pair TH600 to WA7 I completely fall back in love with them. The Hope VI unfortunately unable to either match or scale as good as the TH600 are when paired with WA7.

TH600 soundstage becomes significantly grander. much much more extensions. the bass goes so deep,, like.. super deep. Sibilances are reduced quite significantly they only apparent in some recordings. Vocals becomes so sweet.. separations and details also improve greatly.

Its like Th600 on steroids, the improvement is so apparent. I almost bought myself oppo PM-1 for its transparency and cleanliness. But immediately forget them after pairing my TH600 with WA7.

Also tried PM-1 with chord hugo before for comparison, unfortunately i feel that PM-1 doesn't scale as well as TH600.

Now I wonder how good TH900 could be if paired with the correct combo..

Note : I used to directly connet my TH600 to my laptops / iPod / iPad / iPhone / Android phones before

Which is better between the Denon D5000 and Fostex TH-600?

Those are the three headphones I'm looking at, but I'm leaning towards the Fostex because I don't necessarily want to buy a used headphone that's already over two years old.

As a reference, I would be coming from the V-Moda M-100, for which I find the upper mids to be very recessed, and overall feels congested.
